First Aid

As of yesterday afternoon, I am now a qualified first aider at work, having done a 4-day course with St John Ambulance. I went to the post office afterwards to post something and found myself actively looking out for people to have accidents so I could help them.

Are you a first aider? Have you ever administered first aid? Have you ever been helped by a first aider?

Did you do all the resuscitation stuff? Been shown that in the past, but not sure I could remember what to do now.

Aye, did CPR. The guidelines for it seem to change every few years anyway. I'll definitely be topping this up in the future.

Had first aid training at work today, third time I've done it. Halfway through the training the instructor casually threw out that his father died yesterday. As one of the 4 native English speakers out of 9 attendees I had to check that I hadn't misheard him afterwards, the 5 non-native English speakers had all assumed they'd misheard him because why would you just come to work?
