true story: for either my seventh or eighth birthday, my birthday cake was a Tastykake chocolate cupcake with a single candle in it

I didn't complain. it was delicious!

I realize I left apple pie out of the list. but are you really going to vote for apple pie over butterscotch krimpets?

ALL ARE WINNERS, especially if you are a drunk Australian staggering around Wawa at 3am realising that you are indeed a) very drunk and b) in the home of life-shortening food and you want something for "dessert".

An American expat and myself are planning to get a box of Tastykakes shipped over. I hope this happens and work out. Otherwise, I will fly over to Philly and get them myself!!

i don't get the love for these, they're either bland or too sugary by half. voting other, i guess.

Every time I go visit my family, I bring a box back of BsKs back to Chicago with me, mostly because I'm afraid TSA will mistake a block of scrapple for a brick of C4. Tastykakes are a safer palliative for homesickness.

Also between this poll and the revival of the Wawa thread I'm getting all nostalgic for my homeland.

Buttercotch Krimpets, put in the freezer and eaten cold on a hot summer day = most classic ever. my mother sends me a box every year for my birthday.

I voted the butterscotch because...well, they're the best.

The jellies, however, are their own special brand of amazing.

I gotta get somebody to send me some.

though it has given me an idea for a culinary product that will take over america...sticks of butter with pockets of buttercream inside

i was at a conference in philly two years ago and at the banquet they had a table of tastykakes. it was like walking into a warehouse full of heroin. i'm not sure which would kill me faster tbh.
