Who's worse? Jimmy Fallon or Jim Belushi?

Jim Belushi doesn't laugh at his own jokes, but no one laughs at Jim Belushi's jokes. Jimmy Fallon didn't appear in a bunch of shitty action comedies, but he would if they'd let him. Which Jim is worse?

Wasn't Jimmy Fallon in that Queen Latifa cab chase movie? Isn't that a shitty action comedy as bad as uh Red Heat or K-9?

I said shitty action movies, with Taxi being proof he'd be happy to do them.

da croupier, Friday, 4 September 2009 18:24 (fifteen years ago)

Belushi. Late Night has actually endeared Fallon to me.

jaymc, Friday, 4 September 2009 18:26 (fifteen years ago)

Neither of these guys has done anything I like, but my gut reaction is that Belushi has done more I disliked.

Alex in SF, Friday, 4 September 2009 18:27 (fifteen years ago)

Belushi. Late Night has actually endeared Fallon to me.

Yeah, same here. Not the world's most amazing interviewer, but he's ok enough for a dumb late-night talk show.

or have I become completely absurd? (kenan), Friday, 4 September 2009 18:30 (fifteen years ago)

yeah, there's still some hope that lorne michaels will stop shoving jimmy fallon down our throats if late night tanks (the world doesn't need another dumb late-night talk show, thanks), while belushi has consistently worked in the unfunny business for 25 years without that kind of champion. plus he ruins Red Heat for me, and ruining an '80s Schwarzenegger film is a truly heinous act.

da croupier, Friday, 4 September 2009 18:31 (fifteen years ago)

belushi seems like a horrible person.

i interview fallon and he was super nice and called on time and even let me record a message from him to my wife who loves his show.

should i be embarrassed that i liked The Principle back in the 80s?

carne asada, Friday, 4 September 2009 18:33 (fifteen years ago)

who would Belushi choose as the house band if he had a talk show? the Fabulous Thunderbirds? nevermind, that would make me like him more.

definitely mayne (some dude), Friday, 4 September 2009 18:34 (fifteen years ago)

even when he dons his blues brothers outfit to sing along?

da croupier, Friday, 4 September 2009 18:34 (fifteen years ago)

that is tuff, enuff.

definitely mayne (some dude), Friday, 4 September 2009 18:36 (fifteen years ago)

lol i swore jim b was in blues brothers 2000 but according to imdb, "scheduling conflicts" kept him out. wonder what was so important.

da croupier, Friday, 4 September 2009 18:37 (fifteen years ago)

He had an important deleted scene to shoot, as "overnight delivery boss," in the movie Overnight Delivery (the title character).

definitely mayne (some dude), Friday, 4 September 2009 18:42 (fifteen years ago)

I thought that 80s goofy comedy, "Real Men," was funny enough. That's about it, though. Hate Jimmy Fallon in everything I've seen him in, so I guess, Fallon.

musicfanatic, Friday, 4 September 2009 18:48 (fifteen years ago)

jim belushi seems like an asshole
i liked fallon on snl, since then i've only seen a couple of the late night shows. I don't think he's suited for that (like 99% of people who try to do it--i don't even see it as an artistic knock against someone anymore) but i like his personality in general; don't really get why he rubs so many the wrong way.

it should be an artistic knock against someone if they choose to take an extremely high profile job in a position they're not suited for

definitely mayne (some dude), Friday, 4 September 2009 19:41 (fifteen years ago)

i liked Taking Care of Business but am still voting for Belushi.

mizzell, Friday, 4 September 2009 19:44 (fifteen years ago)

xp doing the show is their penance. even conan still looks like he's clenching his guts during interviews. i don't get it, but why bother criticizing the bastards

I like Mr. Destiny and Taking Care of Business.

Mr. Snrub, Monday, 7 September 2009 23:07 (fifteen years ago)

I don't think I've watched anything with the Living Belushi since he was on SNL.

No Joe Piscopo option? His name begins with "J," too.

The wrong Belushi died

OTM Level III (latebloomer), Tuesday, 8 September 2009 02:02 (fifteen years ago)

fallon is pretty lame but harmless

this is why any vote not for belushi is the wrong vote:

i do wonder how many more seasons (if any) will Fallon have with the show.

Zeno, Tuesday, 8 September 2009 02:31 (fifteen years ago)

Belushi gets points for being in Thief.

LaMonte, Tuesday, 8 September 2009 02:49 (fifteen years ago)

I liked Fever Pitch.

Squash weather (Eazy), Tuesday, 8 September 2009 02:53 (fifteen years ago)

Come on, Piscopo's much better than these 2 guys.

Poxy Fule Of Kryptonite (The Yellow Kid), Tuesday, 8 September 2009 02:54 (fifteen years ago)

Jim Belushi was in Red Heat. Jimmy Fallon wasn't. Belushi wins by TKO.

EZ Snappin, Tuesday, 8 September 2009 03:04 (fifteen years ago)

Meh. I always hated Joe Piscopo, except for his Frank Sinatra imitation, and even then, only in the SNL skit with Eddie Murphy playing Stevie Wonder.
