Love the contrasting inner city hell vs. whatever this place is supposed to be vignettes.

Looked for "English" button, didn't find one, don't understand what this is - is this like the Dubai island thing where they sell parts of their domain? Or is this some virtual second life kinda thing?

it's a gated community in a belgian style

Yeah, there's no English button (at least I couldn't find one) but you get the idea by clicking on the buttons. Basically, inner city life BAD, pretend Belgium suburb GOOD. I can't find anything else about the place.

How exactly are they attempting to convince wealthy Russians that Belgium is a particularly terrifying place to live compared to, well, Russia?
I like the windmill, that's a nice touch.

I think they are trying to convince Russians that Russia is a terrifying place except in this little bit of Belgium they've built.

Is it divided in Dutch and French speaking parts?

And are there girls with star tattoos on their faces?

I had to forward this to my friend. She's Russian but fled the country in her twenties (to Israel, as she was Jewish and then moved to Belgium). She's bound to laugh at this.

Ah right, I'd assumed this was in Belgium and marketed to Russians for some unknown reason.

Possibly not bothering to read the thread title properly.

They should link to this page: "It would appear Belgians are MORANS"
― Nathalie (stevienixed), Monday, 7 September 2009 11:00 (fifteen years ago)
The first page says 'Emigrate every evening'. When you click on the hotspots they say 'Reason to emigrate number X'. 421 is 'soon there will be 20 million of us' then 'soon there will be three of us'

Ljubjana - can you work out where it is? There is a map (third word along at the bottom, then first word in the list).

Near Moscow. Called Belgia because (among other things) they're using Belgian bricks. Google translation of a local article about this:http://translate.google.com/translate?prev=hp&hl=en&js=y&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.hbvl.be%2Flimburg%2Fbilzen%2Flimburgse-stenen-naar-moskou.aspx&sl=nl&tl=en&history_state0=
