well, this thread is off to a good start.

who do you think captured the title of lamest audition from last season? i nominate red haired sensitive jumpy up and down guy, the guadex twins who learned ballet from a book and wore furry boots, and the stripper girl who went through her whore dance with a disconcerting look of detachment on her face.

will season six top any of these?

tyce has transcended annoying to the point where he is now my favorite judge. blasphemous i know, but he is so over the top, it cracks me up every time.

Too early for anything beyond preliminary impressions, but Nathan is my early favorite. He was too young to go on the show last year, but his audition was so strong that they gave him a ticket to this year's Vegas round.

just can't take mollee seriously (her name reminds me of SaNdeE from LA Story)... it even looks like she has her baby teeth, and her habit of wearing the absolute minimum amount of clothes during rehearsal segments is kinda gross.

ytth, I would agree with you re: Mollee who is like an Olsen twin times two, but she was actually kind of tolerable in that "jazz" routine, nicht wahr?

Another season, another buttload of internet morons complaining about it... or am I alone in enjoying the dancing thus far?

I am not enjoying making a big fucking deal about taking tap dancers for the FIRST TIME EVER, like the first season never happened, and then going on to kick them all off the show in the first 3 weeks, especially when 2 of them never got voted on by the public and one of them was my favorite dancer. (<3 Bianca)

I'm just glad Nigel didn't mention Paula Abdul again this week. If they bring her on, I'll be so pissed.

Favorites: Ellenore, Russell, Jakob

Least favorites: Married couple (What was with their little costumes during the results show? Creepy.)

Watching Nathan and Molleeeee squirm as Nigel went on and on about how they should have been eliminated this week was great.

Please, no more robbery-themed hip-hop choreography.

This season is heating up right now, I think. Lots of love for Kathryn & Legacy and their partnership. Jakob & Ellenore are also pretty awesome. I do think this top 20 was a bit handicapped by the loss of Billy Bell and that girl Paula who turned down her spot in the top 20 for a movie role.

I hope the judges/producers have learned their lesson from the overly immature Mollee/Nathan pairing. I think I might like each dancer individually, but together just about everything they did came across as fluffy and cute to me.

I like the fresh crop of choreographers this year (exception: Jamal Sims), it definitely softens the departure of Mia.

I was holding my breath the whole results show for Kathryn, so glad she is around for another week. Did not really want to lose Noelle either.

Mollee has been a bit better in her routines, but what is up with her solos? Am I seeing things or does she fall out of every single turn in the most blatant, unprofessional way?

Yeah, Mollee's solos always seem sort of careless, like she's just desperately flinging herself about. But she's great with choreography.

I really hope Ashley finally goes home tomorrow. She's not good enough for a sympathy vote. Would still like to see Ryan get cut too.

Why are there six people in the finale? Even four seemed like a lot.

Choreographing to Portishead would vote for again A++++++.

I wonder how they are going to work this Top 6 finale. Seems like there will be too many people and combinations to go through in 2 hours.

You can’t blame Mollee for being a bit peeved that she lost to a girl who didn’t even perform. Also, being partnered with Jakob she danced better than I ever thought she could.

Oh, and I am upset at Legacy's elimination.

i think a top 6 will also lead to tons of splitting-the-vote going on. it's lame - this whole season has felt weird, with the autoelimination first weeks, the injuries, the extra (relative to other seasons) doses of shankman, no guest judges, etc.

Definitely would've preferred Bianca to stay over any number of the girls who outlasted her.

What did all you non-Dan people think? Russell had the best night IMO.

Russell is probably my favorite, but I think Ellenore and Jakob were probably the strongest in the finale. And Kathryn is obviously the judges' favorite, so she could take it all.

I'm sick of Ryan and Ashleigh - I think pushing Ashleigh through on a sympathy vote was a really weird thing to do and was completely undeserved. Ryan's solos remind me of Kevin Bacon crossed with a male stripper.

I'm ok with Ryan/Ashleigh making top 6, but I think they'll be the first two eliminated tonight.

Russell seems to most likely to win, I feel. Kathryn was my favorite this year, but I don't know if she can pull a Sabra and win by being so low key. Ellenore may have peaked a bit too early (plus the judges/choreographers are emphasizing her being "quirky" a bit too much) and although I think she's as good as Kathyrn, I only really liked her robot dance last night. Btw, I hope Gary Stuart's schtick is that all his dance are set to rave music. Serious Kraftwerk vibes last night.
