Does anyone have any numbers on what Evony's takeover of the internet must have cost?

They are, realistically... maybe 20-30% of the ads I have seen online, for anything, for two months now? On every kind of site that I go to, that has ads, at all?

Do other people find the same?
How can this possibly be profitable? Like even if a percentage click and become new profitable players, how many people are even seeing each ad for the first time? Isn't there a diminishing return here?
Realistically, it must be... millions? Or are they on some model where they *only* pay for click-throughs?

Yeah, I've never seen these (nor heard of Evony), but there was a period at the beginning of the year where I couldn't go anywhere online without seeing those before/after weight-loss ads where the torso in the before picture resembled a butternut squash.

Funnily enough I have noticed it everywhere but the name had not creeped into my brain. So, good work, ad people.

Based on those pics, looks like it's aiming for the cross-section between RPG and soft porn fans?

I've been seeing ads for 'Kingony', with 'oriental exotic gameplay'. Pretty much the same text aside from that, but wondering if Evony got shut down only to reappear, or if they just decided to target another niche market.
