Hey Dummy! It's the ILX Decade End TV Poll Nominations Thread!!!!!!!!

I was in a shitty mood yesterday so I forgot to start this.

1 month from today to discuss and nominate.

7 nominations each.

Can be anything that has been first broadcast in the decade. Shows that started in the 90s but showed original episodes in the decade count. 1 off specials count, although I'm not sure about specific things like individual sporting games - how do American's treat the Superbowl for example?

I'll try and tell people if they've nominated something that's already been named, although Ctrl+F is your friend.

Last of all, enjoy. Well until someone brings up racism on telly and it all goes downhill from there.

yeah, i knew i was missing out on something ahead of 24, and that something was 30 rock.

i just presumed other people would vote for important things like the wire and just went with things i liked but people might forget. and 30 rock.

tactical voting in ilx polls is a disease we must fight vigorously imo.

ok yeah the size of this list from the other thread is making this one pointless. once i finish it i'll keep this open for a couple more days just in case any wants to add anything (i haven't seen the simpsons yet, for example) and then we'll just do it properly from there.

ppl should really only get 1 nomination, everything will get covered that matters, let's face it.

do web-only shows count? because Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog is one of my favourite things ever, but I wouldn't know if it counts as "a real tv show" or not. Won a Creative Arts Emmy last week, if that helps.

Ok, the actual poll will be a top 50. Everyone votes for, say, 20 then? And then points allocated from 200 for 1st, 190 for 2nd etc? or should each favourite get more points waited in their favour?

Yes and it's probably the best thing to come out of the Canadian television industry in quite a long time. Season two begins tonight, you should see if it can be watched online? It's on the CBC, http://cbc.ca. Basically the girl starts going to therapy and her psychiatrist has the ability to send her back through time to relive/fix bad decisions. Sounds cheesy but it's pretty cool, I stopped watching live 1/2 way through season one because they randomly re-scheduled it to air against LOST :(

Yes more nom nom noms!! Because, speaking for myself, my list was self-consciously canonical, and now I can nominate things like Stylista and America's Most Smartest Model with impunity! (Except not really.)
