A&E is the best television network

i'm sure there are ethical concerns to shows such as 48 HOURS and MANHUNTERS: FUGITIVE TASK FORCE but i don't much care because they are amazing. 48 hours especially, one of the most visceral & at times gut wrenching shows i've ever seen. also really compelling & sort of educational.

intervention imo

hoarders is one of the most unbelievable shows i've ever seen - not as much unbelievably great (altho it is that) as "i literally cannot believe what is happening on my television screen"

first 48 is pretty good but i cant get into manhunter - i def like hoarders/obsessed/intervention type shows the best

saw this hoarders episode about this couple that hoarded hundreds of cats and when animal control cleaned the place out there were 40+ dead cats. some were just bones, there were skeletons where you could see the position the cats were in when they died. there was this one cat that was draped over a cardboard box and you could see how the bones had formed around the box. just fucked up.

manhunter is cool if you got a boner for this stuff like i do but it is kind of uneventful. lots of sitting around in cars watching doors.

I Am Anticipating HOARDERS The New Series On A&E!

i always want to watch these kinds of shows and i never do and just end up watching Discovery Channel/Animal Planet/National Geographic to fulfill those kinds of programming needs. maybe A&E's just on a weird spot in my cable system where i just breeze past it when channel surfing.

eh i think they fulfill different needs. it would b a mistake to watch most a&e shows weeded out ime but thats the perfect state to watch natgeo et al in

lol @ me calling the show 48 HOURS twice in the OP - whenever i see 48 hours on the channel guide i get super excited until i remember for the 567th time that the show is called first 48

some of the people who get booted/ticketed on parking wars are so self-righteous! they're like "the city is trying to rob us" when they know damn well they're breaking the law. if you actually bother to get a legal parking space and put enough coins in the meter, the city will not "rob" you.

it's kind of heartening that there are city workers out there doing banal jobs that go with the flow & look for the light side in things instead of being curmudgeonly dicks who try and piss people off and get into arguments where they can feel better about themselves bcuz they will "win"

my wife watched the whole hoarders marathon yesterday, now i want to shoot missiles into space and hit the a&e satellite

this episode of 'obsessed' that i'm watching now is fucking incredible

this woman literally won't leave the house because she is convinced that if she leaves the house she will die & she has like 10 diff phones throughout her house

this teenage girl thinks that if she touches meat/fruit/vegetables she'll get a 'foodborne illness' & die -- she doesn't even want to be in the vicinity of chicken because it might splatter on her and kill her

shit is crazy

this woman is having literal breakdowns just walking to her mailbox

obv she is close to being homeless
