If only it were "Rather!" instead of "Rather nice!" I would vote for that due to Brideshead Revisited associations.

As it is, it's a toss up between Splendid! (had an ex who used to say that in all seriousness and it made me laugh every time) and Brilliant! I do think Brilliant! is rather over used though. At least by me.

Voted capital but marvellous, fantastic, skill & gnarly were in contension. So many good ones, "top hole" & unplayable will be welcome additions to my vocab. Still I regret the abscence of such staples as "Back of the net!" and all time classic "Henmania!"

Your "I will use the winning word at every available opportunity." addition might skew things, as the one that folks actually think is best could be a long way from the ridiculous tripe that they'd like to see you forced to say on a regular basis! Not maliciously of course, it would merely be good sport.
