OK, so what is the Conservative's "Yes We Can" type slogan going to be?

This is it!

Will these be the three words David Cameron chooses to close his party's final conference before a general election?

It seems doubtful.

The Tory leader's use of the phrase in a private speech to party grandees last month sparked a flurry of speculation that he was road-testing an election slogan, his own version of Barack Obama's "Yes we can".

But the ghost of Labour's 1992 Sheffield rally, when Neil Kinnock celebrated a victory his party had not yet won, stalks every move the Tory Party makes at the moment, and he may opt for a more muted message.

...

Shadow chancellor George Osborne had obviously decided "we are all in this together" was the soundbite he wanted people to take away from his big speech on Tuesday.

He said that he just called to say "hey"
And it wasn't until he called me back
That I realized I needed more than that
I'm a love wiser and a little older
Hey baby, it was nice to know ya
Goodbye, Tony

"a boot stamping on a human face - forever"

Funnily enough, on the news story is a pic captioned "putting the finishing touches to the speech" and I was going to switch the photo to something literally described by the above quote. But I didn't find one, and I wasn't going to spend too long on it because of the photos on GIS matching the description "boots" and "Face"...

He then climbs down onto the floor - and is heard to say to Samantha, "I've come to get you" - and then gets back up onto the stage with her to the dulcet tones of Vic Reeves' "I'm a Believer"

So it was "You made it happen." Big deal.
Bringing up the Pilkington debacle was a cheap shot, no mention of the fucking mess made by the overwhelmingly conservative borough council who screwed up.
