another write-in for Mac's mom. This show nails the destitute/derelict characters in general, but McPoyles, brilliant tho they are, are a little too OTT compared to the sweating, smoking, immobile hulk that is Mac's mom.

Mac's mom really is great - I love that whole scene between her and Dennis.

they stylistically are maybe more similar than most sit com casts but thats cause theyre more like irl friends than yr typical cast of types

but I see your point - those distinctions can be made its just... its kinda like with Strangers with Candy where every character is concerned solely and exclusively about themselves. Just total self-absorption (coupled with total cluelessness). Granted, unlike SwC it isn't playing with stock character types, so maybe that's why they blur together a little more: you put 'em all together and basically they all just argue and backstab each other.

if i had seen "who pooped the bed?" before this poll, i probably would have voted for artemis. her monologue at the end is one of the highlights of the show. she was great in the wrestling episode too.

Artemis needs to become as reoccuring as The Waitress. She's awesome.

Da' Maniac is one of my favorites too, he is really funny and got to figure would have showed up again if Roddy had not died. It would have been awesome for them to have done something based off They Live or the fight scene.

Listening to High on Fire while cleaning up boring data, it hit me that if you were to cast someone as Roddy Piper's character Da' Maniac's son - you should get Matt Pike.

Charlie's sisters and Mac's uncle Donald were nice adds. I hope the sisters come back, they were pretty funny.
