food stuff that you once told your mom that you liked and she went ahead and bought so damn much of it.

this one time she got us yogurt and i must have said it was good...we had yogurt piling up in the fridge for years after that.

One of my friends used to hang out and eat these crackers,so she would buy them all the time thinking we ate them. The kid moved and we had so many freaking crackers in there.

i think she felt good about getting us something we liked and being kids our taste would change. for some reason i felt bad telling her I really didn’t that stuff so much.

I used to drive my mum crazy with this. But it was more because I was incredibly fussy and would fixate on one food, and would ONLY eat that thing for 3-4 weeks and then decide I hated it.

My grandmother often gives me bags of candy corn because I loved it during high school. There's almost always a stale bag somewhere in my kitchen cupboards.

My mom's really good at this! When I come home to visit she stocks the fridge with spinach and mushrooms and makes lasagna and beef stroghanoff because those were my favorites growing up.

Pretty much everything. My mom was big on bulk-store shopping. I would not be at all surprised if there were, like, Lucky Charms from '95 still sitting around their house somewhere.

The thread title is hilarious, BTW.

My mom was big on bulk-store shopping.

my parents went through a big costco phase for a while, and would bring home all these bulk items from the bakery and the deli. good muffins and cold cuts, but damn! you don't need that much of it unless you're catering a party or feeding a small army.

These, kind of. But I don't remember telling her I liked them, because they are absolutely disgusting. I just found them really funny and then she bought them for me for about five easters in a row.

Haha- my mother-in-law always buys like a case of whatever beer I happen to mention that I like, so I end up drinking the same thing every time I come to visit her for the next 6 months. I guess it could be worse though.
