I started this poll and then found myself without the time to invest in it, which is a shame. Chicken cottage ftw btw; I don't need my zingers to come bearing crowns.

Ha ha! I've often walked past Chickpizz on the way to / from The Londesborough / Clissold Crescent, and never been inside.

I went into a Dixy on Stokey High St in the summer and was destroyed the next day : the overly spicey batter and generally shittyness of the food ruined me for the rest of the weekend.

Because you have the option of buying it in a bucket. Any food served in a bucket appeals to the consumer. The ultimate fast food eatery would be called ' Bucket Feed'. It's all about the bucket - the word - Bucket.

I'm into Orlando Fried Chicken on Kingsland Rd. Its the little details that get me - like the map of the USA on the signage that omits Florida.

also, the Chickpizz logo: a chick ...standing next to a pizza. Genius.

Fishcotheque is good*, but there's also ROCK & SOLE PLAICE.

*namewise; can't comment on food

salsa shark, Wednesday, 4 November 2009 15:01 (fifteen years ago)

The Rock & Sole Plaice (if it's the one I'm thinking of) has better chips.

But come on, FISCOTEQUE was on the cover of a Jazz Butcher album, how can you not love it?

Persian Pickle (Masonic Boom), Wednesday, 4 November 2009 15:02 (fifteen years ago)

Fishcotheque would win it for me if it actually involved fish AND a discotheque

salsa shark, Wednesday, 4 November 2009 15:04 (fifteen years ago)

or has three puns like rock and soul plaice

ken "save-a-finn" c (ken c), Wednesday, 4 November 2009 15:11 (fifteen years ago)

sole? soul would lose the fish element but add a music element

there was a shoe shop called sole trader which was pretty classic

ken "save-a-finn" c (ken c), Wednesday, 4 November 2009 15:12 (fifteen years ago)
