From the diseased minds of the PFFR collective (mad geniuses behind Comedy Central's "Wondershowzen" and MTV's "Xavier: Renegade Angel") comes the fantasy (or is it dramedy?) DVD, Final Flesh. Actually the name for it might be "prank porn." Here's how it worked: avant-garde scripts were sent to work-for-hire adult-entertainment production companies whose usual fare is straightforward sex work, not the haut artifacts they're presented with here. But these actors were paid to do the job of making it look good, and so they straight-facedly address themselves to the gut-churning surrealism, triple-reverse entendres and radical social commentary (but no actual sex) scripted for them in a plot that envisions the last day on earth of a close-knit family before nuclear holocaust descends. Final Flesh is a manipulation of existing media formats that exploits and critiques all of them for our amusement.

luv xavier: renegade angel but could not really deal w/ this ~ it's from 2003 btw and i think it shows -- wonder showzen & xavier are much much better

that said, slap by david lynch on the last segment & critics would fall all over themselves 2 declare its brilliance
