Back to the Future or Joe Versus the Volcano. Went the former.

Poltergeist is far and away my favorite of these movies.

Actually, Poltergeist - Gremlins - Back To The Future trifecta is pretty un-fuckwithable

with the exception of poltergeist, for me this is mostly a question of, what's your favorite bob zemeckis joint? back to the future, probably.

any one of the obvious choices are correct, though I, personally, can't go for BTTF because of #s II and III i.e. the spawn that came after.

Loved the shit out of this movie back when I was 12 and it was on HBO every day of the summer.

Gremlins 2 is damn near perfect. Goonies is too "oh I saw it once when I was 6 but I still bought the T-shirt and reference it every chance I get" for me.

As much as I liked it then, there's no way I could sit through 5 minutes Goonies today. Vote goes to Poltergeist, which I was too scared/religious to see as a kid.

def Gremlins, but Gremlins 2 is one of the greatest sequels ever. Similar to Evil Dead 2 in that it takes a funny horror film and turns it into outright satire.

i was just talking to a friend at work today about the scene in poltergeist where they smoke a joint after the kids go to bed, and how you never see that kind of thing anymore. (conversation was prompted by some movie that i don't remember being rated R because it depicted "drug use with no negative consequences.")

gremlins and gremlins 2 are amazing but back to the future for me, if only for the memory, aged about 11, of an entire cinema rising to it's feet to cheer Biff getting punched. still probably my single favourite 'udience' moment in a cinema.
