After a light dusting off snow last week in time for December first, Montreal is getting its first PROPER snow of the season today. 20-30 cm today, 5 more overnight and another 5-10 tomorrow, apparently!
It's beautiful, albeit inconvenient, but perfect for snowball fights and kissing boys and so forth.
In related news, there is maybe/sort of a boy, but for fear of jinxing it Ima hold off on anecdotes and such.

― Fusty Moralizer (Dr Morbius), Sunday, 28 February 2010 17:53 (fifteen years ago)
dear gaybwoyz,
Ever wonder how an M2F biopic might have worked as a high 1940s melodrama? Then get thee to The Christine Jorgensen Story directed in 1970 by an actual veteran of high 1940s melodramas, Irving Rapper (most famous for Now, Voyager). Camp to the tits with "don't let's ask for the moon"-style one-liners that just do not work and a once-in-a-lifetime performance by the very pretty John Hansen (who seems to have vanished). Not to be missed.
And now IMDb tells me Rapper did some uncredited work on my beloved Sextette. Maybe it's time to revisit his work starting with The Gay Sisters (1942).
― Kevin John Bozelka, Sunday, 28 February 2010 18:56 (fifteen years ago)
I saw Irving Rapper do a Q&A at a NY screening of The Corn Is Green! Back when he was, you know, alive.

hung out with se4n all day yesterday (makeout city) and part of today. before he came over today, i was talking with j3n (his bestie) and was just honestly like, 'i don't think we're ever going to sleep together.' and (s)he said, 'se4n talks about you all the time, and you mean a lot to him. but he also knows himself well enough that he doesn't want to hurt you, because he's in a slutty phase. he told me last week, 'i just need a little time.'' which is actually kind of heartening, in a way. it's great to have a best friend, too, in the meanwhile? yeah!
anyway, se4n's honest, and has said almost exactly the same thing to me before, so i'm not going to get worked up over this any longer. i'm just gonna let it happen as it happens.

okay, uh, not to sound like the slut that i am, but donna rouge and rev-- never again will i feel sympathy for this talk of 'not getting any.' sorry, but there are invites to make out/do more, and you can't just turn them down cuz yr talking w/ yr friend. if i'm with friends and a guy does that to me, i start making out with him. it's not like the friend will get offended, but maybe my friends are more okay with that sort of thing.
um anyway, yeah, it is kind of sweet that we have something more than just a one-night-stand or occasional fuck sort of relationship. tho i still really want it! anyway, it's just nice that we make each other happy.
also OTM regarding pretty boy phenom-- can't count how many times i've been used and dropped, or how many times i've been guilty of the same thing...tho usually with creepos, like weird meth punk dude from a while back....

t3ddy, it was nice to meet you a while back and everything, but truth be told, your posting here has begun to exhaust me :/ it seems like the only reason you post to this thread is to brag about how crrrrazy your (sex) life is. and while some of the boys around here do complain about a lack of action on their part, i don't know that it necessarily warrants a pedagogical interruption from you on each occasion. like, i get it. you go out and do fierce fun things with your party-high friends all the time like a regular dash snow. it's all well and good, i just find it banal as a main source of self-revelation. also, i thought the privilege of claiming the pains and pressures of being oh-so-pretty was reserved for people like Megan Fox.
/cunt
have a good night.
― yeahhh (surm), Monday, 1 March 2010 06:22 (fifteen years ago)
a few things:
- i've asked for advice here many times recently. i'm pretty lonely, too.
- as far as i'm concerned, a thread for homos shouldn't just be about gay films, theory, madonna, haircare, and how we all wish we had boyfriends. oh, and NYC. can't forget NYC.
- i'm not bragging. just relating the facts of my life to group of people whom i like, and have always seemed relatively sympathetic. note that i've actually only had sex ONCE since december, and have said as much earlier in this thread. i've made out with a lot of people, but that's kind of just living, innit?
- getting pedagogical? I'M TRYING TO GIVE TIPS AS TO HOW YOU CAN GET IT DONE. if that's getting pedagogical, then i don't really think you know what the meaning of pedagogy is.
- i'm truly sorry if i've offended anyone or put anyone down-- that has never been my intention. i know it's hard to find other gays to engage with on a social and sexual level, and just want all of us to be happier. and have dicks in our mouths more often.
- who the hell is megan fox? WHY DO CELEBRITIES HAVE A MONOPOLY ON ANY SORT OF PAIN OR PRESSURE? fuck that noise, and fuck megan fox. and btw, i was simply responding to spectrum's comment about being pretty. if someone calls me or someone i know 'pretty,' i blush a little and then say, 'yeah, i am sort of pretty, zang.'
- you have a good night, too. all of you.

fwiw, I unbookmarked this thread a few weeks ago because I, too, was getting (as surm so brilliantly put it) exhausted. I didn't say anything about it because I'm not trying to step on anyone's style here, but since someone else brought it up, et al. And because I figured out a while back that you need attention (i.e. calls for "advice"), tabes, and I'm not the one to give it to you. Just my 3 dollar bill.
― queen frostine (Eric H.), Monday, 1 March 2010 13:35 (fifteen years ago)
