dudes
me and my gurl got one o them "the world" shower curtains and damn if it don't help with learning geography. if you have never seen one of these it is a clear shower curtain with a map of the world on it. most country's capitol cities are shown as well as other cities of some significance.
and there are thoughts i think in reference to looking at this shower curtain that i will share with y'all. here goes:

1. holy shit there is a city named after me way the hell up in manitoba!

Meteor Crater (jdchurchill), Wednesday, 6 January 2010 19:02 (fifteen years ago)

I had one of these shower curtains! Good times.

No curtain in my current bathroom, solid plastic screen instead. Boo.

Colonel Poo, Wednesday, 6 January 2010 19:05 (fifteen years ago)

I just discovered a friend of mine has a map-of-the-world shower curtain where all the type is in the Matt Groening font for no discernible reason.

13. Gibraltar: i was surprised to find that this is a british territory as i thought it was going to be another in the series of countries with more than one capitol city. but when i look at the map i think, "damn that is a very strategic location."

two months pass...

whoa dudes i was looking at the world map shower curtain this morning and thinking holy cow look how much lake chad looks like a heart, and it's like right smack dab in the middle of the map.

Just got one of those but it was made by idiots. They use six colours but still manage to have adjacent countries of the same colour, most confusingly for Russia and Belarus, so you can't tell who the extra bit of territory below Lithuania belongs to. And they make it look like there's four countries at the tip of South America, instead of two.
