I voted for the girl with the red hairband who just realized that she completely fucked up at life.

big darn deal (Z S), Saturday, 12 December 2009 01:26 (fifteen years ago)

If his political views weren't so fucked up he would be a pretty awesome dude imo

the overbite on the terrorist fist bump really puts it over the top for me. he's like an adorable woodland creature attempting its first tentative fist bump!

Global Warming: "We are cooling. We are not warming. The warming you see out there, the supposed warming, and I use my fingers as quotation marks, is part of the cooling process. Greenland, which is covered in ice, it was once called Greenland for a reason, right?"[93][94]

he looks like he's going to try to untie the bleached-blonde girl's wrap dress.

JuliaA, Saturday, 12 December 2009 05:49 (fifteen years ago)

i bet howard dean never took any intern photos as good as these. i like the one with the leg-kick, but i think i'm going with the "look, up in the sky!" pose.

hellzapoppa (tipsy mothra), Saturday, 12 December 2009 06:02 (fifteen years ago)

he is surprisingly photogenic!

Dan S, Saturday, 12 December 2009 06:32 (fifteen years ago)

Still wish that whenever I see Michael Steele mentioned it was Michael Steele of the Bangles instead of this guy.

Elvis Telecom, Saturday, 12 December 2009 06:53 (fifteen years ago)

tbh if it weren't for his whole schtick these might be sweet

keep on reading the title as "your favorite MICHAEL STEELE action prose" and expecting to find paragraphs describing gun battles

囧 (dyao), Saturday, 12 December 2009 07:58 (fifteen years ago)

The interns are straight out of young republican central casting! I can't believe they look so much like what you'd think they'd look like

As far as I can tell, he has no political views. He is the most amorphous, principle-free politician I've ever encountered. All it takes is for a pro-choice reporter to ask him a couple questions in his office, and suddenly he's pro-choice.

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 12 December 2009 10:37 (fifteen years ago)

I was going to vote #8 because hey, she's cute, but then I clicked on #9 and saw him proposing to this giantess who was about to bite his head off. That's when I knew that Michael Steel was man enough to chair my RNC.

kingkongvsgodzilla, Saturday, 12 December 2009 11:02 (fifteen years ago)

Is he the American Boris Johnson?

Liked the first and last ones best. He seems cool.

Dan I., Saturday, 12 December 2009 12:35 (fifteen years ago)

So torn between the drunken sassy eyebrow raise in pic 5 and the "look up there!" pic.

Rare photo of Steele getting an arm-around from Rush Limbaugh. Note Mitt Romney on the far left.

you know how disappointed steele was with a straightforward pose. he definitely had a 'ride on me like i'm a horse!' shot left in him.

michael steele is a delightful human being. these photographs remind me of my favorite album cover of all-time, Gordon by the Barenaked Ladies

being being kiss-ass fake nice (gbx), Saturday, 12 December 2009 20:24 (fifteen years ago)

Does Michael Steele believe in anything or does he just shoot his mouth off and check later to see if what he's saying matches up to the GOP platform? Cause it sure seems like he does that latter thing...

He's certainly not the worst republican out there these days though and I think those photos prove it.

What's amazing is, in keeping with the tradition of ILX, exactly half of these pictures could be captioned, "This fucking guy!" and the other half could be captioned "WHERE THE TITTAYS AT?"

I envy Michael Steele, I wish I could list booze as office supplies on expense reports.

this guy is such a prize

Whats with all the littering? (Shakey Mo Collier), Monday, 29 March 2010 20:35 (fifteen years ago)

He's living it up now. His job is over, but it would be too much GOP scandal to actually fire him.

kenan, Monday, 29 March 2010 20:39 (fifteen years ago)

two years pass...

miss this dude

In 2009, the newly elected chairman of the Republican National Committee, Michael Steele, seemed to reference Kool Moe Dee in comments addressed to President Barack Obama: "I would say to the new president, congratulations. It is going to be an honor to spar with him. And I would follow that up with: How do you like me now?"
