What are your favourite pantheons of deities?
I grew up reading a lot of stuff about the Greek Gods of Olympus. They seemed like a rather dysfunctional bunch. When I read about the Egyptian Gods they seemed a bit more together. But there is something fascinating about the Norse deities and their almost pathetic venality and miserableness.
Maybe we should try and make our own pantheon out of the best Gods from the various deities.

Greek, helped by my English teacher parents who'd give me books of myth from 8 years old or onward. I even got a copy of Bulfinch's Mythology for Christmas when I was 10, that I think I still have.

I wish Jack Kirby had done monthly comics about all of them, not just the Norse...

One thing that is funny is when you get pantheons were the deities aren't really that divine. I think the Norse one is like that - you can actually kill the Aesir, it's just not easy. I have the vague idea that the pre-Christian Irish-Celtic pantheon is like that too, but know surprisingly little about it.
