Have you read the Lynde bio yet, Z? It's a treat, a touch rambling (weird for a short book -- needs more focus, less digression when it comes to a few parts), but in all really makes me want to see all those Hollywood Squares episodes again.

The Lynde bio actually ends noting the (perfectly understandable if still regrettable) ephemerality of Lynde's fame, referencing an Onion bit on same and how the signs at his hometown of Mount Vernon proclaiming his being born there have come down. Plus ca change.
