LOST character who you are most anxious to find out what the hell their deal is in season six

I'm going with the old standby of Richard Alpert just because his combination of immortal and omnipresent but not omniscient or all-powerful is really interesting and I want to see how they explain it.

also how he gets eyeliner on the island

on one of the bonus features on the S5 DVD he goes to great lengths to show that they actually only use makeup to lighten his eyelashes

I DON'T care to learn more about Eloise Hawking. Every single reveal about her, from her Matrix-ripping-off-origins to her shabily photoshopped presence to that fucking hood she wears in her Da Vinci Code LA Lab has made me just despise her.

Looking at this list I think I only really care about Locke, Alpert, Hanso, Ben, and of course, WAAAAAAAALT--I mean seriously, what did the others want with him and in what way did they get "more than they bargained for"? I think this is the only mystery of the show I truly care about at this point.

Jacob, Jacob's Enemy and Richard Alpert are the obvious answers. I would honestly like some kind of explanation about what they are and their exact relation to the island.

Alpert definitely, also I'd imagine an Alpert reveal would tell us a hell of a lot about the Island, the Others, the immortality thing, the temple, what Jacob's deal is, probably the Black Rock, hell, loads of shit.

Yes, we need 3 hours of Alpert laying all this shit out, straight to camera. The rest of the season can be Hurley/Sawyer/Miles bro-down/zingfest.

Yeah pretty much. Dragged two people off at speed, hung Charlie in a tree, beat the shit out of Jack who's perfectly fit etc... and he was just a dr, wasn't he? My memories of season 1're a bit foggy by now, tho.

He was scary and seemed to be really fast strong, but i think the element of surprise/panic/shock definitely helped him out in those encounters. Also Jack's not incredibly good at fighting, he's only good at kicking the crap out of hostage-Ben.

Oh probably, I just really liked that there was this idea of a whole tribe of superstrong OTHERS. Then they turned out to be a bunch of dudes, oh no.

Still think he was a BIT too strong fast, tbh, but it doesn't matter at all by this point. Not that worried abt what gets revealed this season, just hope Locke gets a better deal. Wouldn't mind knowing more abt Richard but it'll be vaguely disappointing.

xps Yeah, admittedly the third season almost completely killed the awesome mystique the Others had - up until that point they all seemed like these crazy, otherworldly, super devious alien pod people. We got a brief hint of that again when they had the 80s Danielle timejump when she was pregnant and killed her temple-possessed shipmates.

They story behind the big guys like Alpert and Jacob and even whidmore, I'm not really anxious about, because I know they're going to explain them. So I'm just kinda patiently waiting for what I'm expecting will be ultimately unsatisfactory explanations.

The stories behind libby, hanso, and Richard Malkin on the other hand. Well those are stories that they probably aren't going to have time to give me even an unsatisfactory explanation for. Plus all of those characters are older in terms of the show than those guys with a big story that needs to be told. I've been waiting a lot longer to find out that they teased a little mystery that they're probably not going to get around to explaining.

For me, the answer is easily Locke/Esau, so I voted for Esau, since he seems to hold dominion over the latest questions about what the hell is up w/ Locke. Also, I look forward to more answers about origin & history b/w he & Jacob, obv.

Work has kept me away from the last season of this show. I was talking to a friend about it and I kept having to tell her wait, what now. And I don't have time to catch up now that the new season starts in what a week?

my two sorta class-b things that i really hope get explained are the whispers and who the hell was on the outrigger that fired at sawyer, juliet, locke et al.

never really occurred to me that the whispers were anything other than the others whispering. are there many incidences where it had to have been someone/something else?

i don't think we were ever told who shot the flaming arrows that killed all of the redshirt losties.

it was Widmore's gang in 1954...when they captured one of them he said he heard Sawyer say "meet at the creek"

well there's backwards-masking in most/all the whispers we've heard and they've always seemed a bit more supernatural than "just the others". To me it's one of those mysteries that goes back nearly to the beginning and reminds me of why I watched the show all along, but nothing concrete has been said about it.
