3. Coffee with cream.
4. Main Street of my current location.
5. Dochelate - I don't think that's the correct spelling, but it is an almost-soft blue cheese.
6. Not so predictably for a freelancing (read: unemployed) person, Friday because my working mates can come out and play then.

2. Train, though I do love the 63 and 122 bus routes, off-peak, from the upper deck.
3. Coffee, if someone else is making it; tea, if I'm making it.
4. Trees - big buggers, too. Part of leafy SE London that is our garden.
5. I don't have a favourite, but yesterday I was reminded how long it had been since I tasted Jarlsberg. So, at the moment, I'm craving that.

2. Walking. I want to get some of those shoes which are also roller skates. They look cool. If I get some then that will be my favourite form of transport but until then, walking. Black cabs are cool too, well the noise they make is. The noise the cab drivers make is slightly less cool though.
4. Row upon row of drab semi-detached houses. Some trees. A cat. Three cars. Two lamp posts. A telegraph pole. A roadsign. A pylon. The sky. Clouds. Some birds.
5. Kraft singles.
6. Alternate Saturdays (I work every other Saturday, I only like those Saturdays I'm not working)

4. A Thames Valley Police van, 11 trees, a grey volvo, 3 traffic cones, other bits of Nielsen House, and a bit of the A40. From 5.30 every day I see a stream of workers from other bits of the company, many of them rather attractive.

Bicycle, since it's environmentally sound. In long-distance travel, train, for the same reason.

The back yard of my apartment block.

4. What can you see from your nearest window?Trees, treetops, the roof of the house next door, some other houses, the nearby elementary school, a strip of road, sky.
5. Favourite cheese?I don't like cheese but am gamely trying to change that.
6. Favourite day of the week?Usually Sunday. This Sunday's going to be a long one so I don't know about that. But I suppose I also like Tuesdays and Thursdays a lot.

Car.
Strong coffee, cream, no sugar. Occasionally lapsang souchong. Bubble tea doesn't count. Neither does iced sassafras tea.
My blinds. If I were to open them, some trees and grass and the next apartment building.
Right now, butterkaese.
It really doesn't make all that much difference, but I guess Saturday.

North Middlesex Hospital, Edmonton, London. In a temporary Nissen hut whilst they built the new maternity block, which the midwife said would be ready for my mother's next baby. There never was one.
Bus - particularly those old Routemasters.
Though I drink a lot of coffee, I have to say tea. With lemon. and it has to be real tea and real lemon. Not that Lift stuff.
Nothing much. It's dark. In the daytime I can see my back garden and the houses in Chilswell Road.
Feta.
Friday. it ushers in the weekend. A chance for drinks with workmates, preferably at the Marsh Harrier, though the Longwall or City Arms will do. And it's the day that top club nites like How Does It Feel? and Rollercoaster happen.

2. Favourite form of transport? My car. I wish I had a nicer car, but see, I wouldn't want to be transported in a nicer car unless I was driving it.
3. Tea or Coffee? Coffee. Black. You ruin a good cup of coffee with suger and cream.
4. What can you see from your nearest window? The neighbors' window, shaded with one of those godawful hippie tapestries that college students buy.
5. Favorite cheese? At the moment, a nice gorgonzola. Also emmenthal, chevres.. brie.. mascarpone..

― The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Monday, 25 August 2003 07:48 (twenty-two years ago)
Favorite form of transport?Has to be one of my cars.I collect old Fords,I think if I had to pick one over the others,it would have to be my Mk2 Escort RS2000.I built and modified it myself, and I love it as if it were my own offspring!Unfortunately, time and money mean it's not on the road at the moment,so I have to resort to a Fiat.Trains are cool too,but only if you get to drive.
Tea or coffee?Tea,by a long shot.I have about 20 kinds of tea in my kitchen,I adore fruit teas and iced tea, coffee just doesn't appeal to me at all.My mother used to drink vast amounts of black coffee when I was younger,I remember making cup after cup of the stuff for her,and I suppose that's put me off it!
From my nearest window,I can see the terracce of houses opposite my flat. There are two elm trees which the council cut back about two weeks ago,so now they just look like tall stumps.I can see my hilarious Fiat Panda4x4,which is in need of a good wash, and I can also see one of the three tower blocks at the end of my road.I'm moving to a new place in a week, and my new view will be of Roots Hall, home ground of Southend United Football Club. And I really don't like football!
Does Dairylea count as cheese? It's not proper cheese,so I'll have to say Applewood smoked Cheddar is the don daddy of cheese. And Philadelphia cream cheese (with chives preferably),spread in a warm pitta is a favorite of mine at the moment.
Favorite day of the week would have to be Friday. It's always been that little bit special, probably because I have never been one for working weekends! All my best nights out have been on Fridays.I was a club DJ for 4 years, and Friday nights were always the busiest and most fun nights.I probably get it from my father, who at the age of 58,still goes out to the clubs every Friday night, and it is hard work keeping up with him.A lot of people probably think that is really sad and he should act his age!But as an ex-doorman and ex-publican round here,he gets into all the bars and clubs for free,so I guess he's making the most of it!He is 100% a Friday man,so it must be something in the genes.

2. Favourite form of transport? Ideally, on the enormous, well appointed motor boat of a rich friend, but otherwise in my old Citroen AX GT (RIP) or on a quiet (overground) train going somewhere exciting.
3. Tea or Coffee? White coffee, not too strong. Ideally a mocha with hazelnut syrup in it. Mmm yeah.
4. What can you see from your nearest window?Simon Le Bon's garden!
5. Favourite cheese? Has to be parmesan as I eat it at least 7 times a week. I love pepper jack too, and taleggio, and gorgonzola, and stilton, and emmenthal.
6. Favourite day of the week? Saturday, because you can do anything, though as someone who likes anticipating things, Friday is a very close second.

Queen Mother's Hospital, Glasgow
hmmmm. probably the train. 3. Tea or Coffee?

the west end of glasgow in the distance, the mental hospital at gartnavel, a green copper spire, some high rise flats.
White stilton with apricots
Thursday, i think.
