Has anyone seen any of his Lord Peter Wimsey TV series performances from the 70s? I've recently become addicted to the Dorothy L. Sayers books on which they are based.

Gotta admit I didn't realise our local hero was still alive. I don't think I've ever watched a Peter Wimsey beginning to end but he deserves this thread for his 50s movies alone. RIP

RIP. I have a soft spot for Hammer's The Lady Vanishes in which he plays Calidcot, alongside Cybil Shepherd and Elliot Gould lol '70s.
And I'm Alright Jack, of course.

xp Yeah I wasn't aware he was still alive either TBH. I'm fond of his performance in Lucky Jim, even though the film doesn't really do the book justice.

True, but it's great in other ways, not least if which is Ian Carmichael's performance. Really wish they'd show the World of Wooster on TV again instead of endlessly repeating the Laurie/Fry version. Not available anywhere. This seems to be the only clip.
