omar how did u score if ppl combined lotr or kill bill or w/e this (37. War of the Worlds/Munich) means

johnny crunch, Friday, 12 February 2010 01:29 (fifteen years ago)

j0rdan the answer is yes, you did not think wedding crashers was the best movie since 2000

harbl, Friday, 12 February 2010 01:29 (fifteen years ago)

YOU'D BE SURPRISED

yeah, mine was bottom to top i guess, the numbers are for the points not the ranking

birdman mumia (J0rdan S.), Friday, 12 February 2010 01:31 (fifteen years ago)

tbh w/ that wotw/munich one i just split the difference. even if munich got the full four points it would have been in the same spot.

('_') (omar little), Friday, 12 February 2010 01:32 (fifteen years ago)

this is making me so ;_; I should pay more attention to ilx polls/voting more often especially for something as zeitgeisty as this

dyao, Friday, 12 February 2010 01:33 (fifteen years ago)

omar how did u score if ppl combined lotr or kill bill or w/e this (37. War of the Worlds/Munich) means - ftr, this is how my ballot was originally formatted. Regarding LOTR & Kill Bill, I changed my votes to ROTK & KB1 respectively, as reps for the larger group. In retrospect, I should have voted FOTR instead.

Bangkok Serious starring Yahoo Dangerous (Pillbox), Friday, 12 February 2010 01:33 (fifteen years ago)

THANKS AMERICAN GOVERNMENT FOR MAKING ME FORGET THAT MY VOTE CAN ACTUALLY MAKE A DIFFERENCE

dyao, Friday, 12 February 2010 01:33 (fifteen years ago)

i feel bad for not voting, i could have just picked something i sort of liked to fill it in and not taken myself so seriously :)

harbl, Friday, 12 February 2010 01:34 (fifteen years ago)

I was gonna say exactly the opposite. Since every scene - except one - in SFtSF has an umoving camera shooting the scene from mid-to-far range, and each scene is arranged and composed like a (moving) painting, I'd say a lot of the details are lost if you watch it on small screen. Like the final scene at the dump: if you watch it on a small telly or a computer screen, you probably have to squint your eyes an awful lot to see what's going on. But I've only seen it at cinema, so I can't say for sure if the movie makes sense on the small screen. And I guess it's better to watch it like that than not to watch it at all.
