"What it's about is the fact that Jigga is a Lucifer-worshiping Mason. And he's pulled in Kanye and Nas. All the symbols are masonic/pagain/satanic especially the pink goat's head shirt Kanye is wearing. And just listen to the song...it's about secret societies and the satanic Illuminati which employs JIgga. Do some research...free your mind." -RizNJ

Yeah it's kind of old, but it's my new favorite conspiracy theory.

Wound up looking it up because I was listening to Where Y'all At and I caught the Annuis Coeptum reference. (tight song btw)

Is this a CT coming from paranoid white people? Because nobody chats this shit about the KLF...

the people that post on that Youtube comments thread are the same people who begin half their sentences with "I'm not racist, but...", and secretly cheer internally when Tom Robinson is pronounced guilty in To Kill a Mockingbird

No, at least not exclusively. Prodigy from Mobb Deep talks about it on some blog.

did these comspiracy ppl ever think that pyramids & skull & crossbones just look cool?

why would these rappers be rubbing their alleged illuminati ties in our faces?

Obviously all I know about Masons is what I've Googled in the past 10 minutes (and in genealogy discovering that my grandmother's grandfather and all of his brothers were Masons) but last week, Nigerian stylist friend (with Pentecostal mom) asked me if Michelle Obama was giving a Freemason horn sign on the cover of Vogue, which is of course silly, considering the way photoshoots for fashion mags operate (the pic was probably one of 20 different 'cover try' shots, the best of which chosen by Anna Wintour). Historically, there were 'separate-but-equal' black chapters - the Prince Hall Masons, and that is a feast of paranoid Googlage.

There might be a good reason for the references to Masons wrt hip-hop - would imagine that being a hardcore Wu-Tang fan is great prep for being interested in Illuminati stuff. Plus, making your haters think your success is a vast conspiracy just by throwing a few 'signs' or whatever must be like shooting fish in a barrel.

There is not a stoned person alive who has not wondered if the world was just that bit too connected, but for most people the smoke does clear.

i like how the description calls the video "an in depth look" as if its not just a bunch of pics of jay/kanye/nas throwing up the roc intercut with random mason symbols.

the video about how the illuminati killed pac and biggie is way cooler than this one
