Subtitled - Shigeru Miyamoto: Classic or Dud. Koji Kondo: Classic or Dud. Subsubtitled - The Thread Where You Get To Talk About How Much You Love Videogames or Just Gamecube.

Gameboy Advance because it fits more into the theory of micronisation.

jel --, Monday, 1 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-two years ago)

Note to self: finish Golden Sun.

please, tell me why i should buy a gamecube. i'm a slight nintendo loyalist so i'd love a reason to, but it looks really dead in the water. miyamoto = classic, of course

Didn't the NES come before the Gameboy?

Anyway, if this thread's a success, I may well set up a C64 thread. You lucky people.

Dom Passantino, Monday, 1 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-two years ago)

to me gamecube's raison d'être will be the newest metroid.
If your job is fulfilling =classic
but if it isn't, then, bringing a laptop at work to finish gba emulated games= classic?
not really but hey.
Time invested in games of today is wasted. Game designers should get their act together so gamers that become masters at their craft could have a shot at a nobel prize, saving lives and increasing general knowledge and stuff.
Or else all this dedication and energy goes to waste.
I'm not inspired enough to think of a concrete bizness plan about that idea, it's a challenge!.
(mild golden sun spoiler) btw, at the end of golden sun when asked what to do next between rescuing the girl or saving the immortal wannabe's life, of course say yes about the girl or else you will feel a negative emoticon ":(" when hearing that you will be rat on, possibly making you feel bad for the sequel. story of my life? hé hé .

This is the thread where kids whose parents had more money than mine continue to make me feel excluded.

(nothing personal, I've just realised why every videogame thread taunts me so)

MONKEY WHAT?

misterjones, Wednesday, 3 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-two years ago)

Sorry, just messing. I don't think the cube is dead in the water. Monkey Ball rules.

I wuv my Advance. Gradius Galaxies, Phalanx, Golden Sun and Advance Wars. I've unlocked every CO except Nell... tell me that's time wasted). The new Zelda game looks set to have a Gauntlet Style four player link up mode... wahey!

misterjones, Wednesday, 3 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-two years ago)

And Pikmin!!! Pikmin pikmin pikmin! And wot of Super Smash Melee? It looks k-rad! Although I totally cannot afford a GameCube poo. It is however SO much better than the bloody Xbox. XRUB more like hahahaha. PS2 is grebt for GTA3 but Timesplitters is FECKING HARD to get the hang of. Nothing however can beat VECTOR GRAPHIC TASTIC VIB RIBBON THOUGH!!!!

I am currently playing the Pokémon Trading Card Game on my pocket black and white Gameboy. It's GREBT although I can't beat the fecking Rock Club master - and I got my ass whupped by the Water club master. OK, poliwag is a water type pokémon so should have weakness to lightening type BUT NOT HERE MATEY! Also where are Jynx's ICE ATTACKS eh?? Ah well chiz chiz my time will come, if at the expense of my eyesight.

Sarah, Wednesday, 3 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-two years ago)

Pikmin is great. Really great. Right up there with Bionic Commando and Yoshi's Island. Miyamoto figured out yet another new way that videogames can be fun. Pikmin is totally orignal and fun as all get out.

And not for nuthin' but Luigi's Mansion is also quite fun. It's half Resident Evil parody, half inventive ghostbusters remake. Quite fun indeed, just too short.

And to Sarah, I'm hitting on you now! You charmed me with your love of Pikmin. I will break up with my non-pikmin appreciating girlfriend for you! Just give me a chance!

Chief White Lotus, Wednesday, 3 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-two years ago)

I mean, you can appreciate Vib Ribbon? You must be an angel....

Cheif White Lotus, Wednesday, 3 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-two years ago)

Sarah, come to Chicago and play Super Smash Bros. with me: you can be Pichu and I can be Mr. Game and Watch and I can beat you to a quivering little pulp with my chair-bonking and air-pumping moves.

nabisco%%, Tuesday, 9 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-two years ago)

Nabisco's quite the smoothy, isn't he ladies?

Dan Perry, Tuesday, 9 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-two years ago)

Yes, yes, my video-game beatings are the highest form of seduction. (I just want to talk about Smash Brothers.)

nabisco%%, Tuesday, 9 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-two years ago)

I can't believe mister freako-politico has got Mr Game and Watch and I haven't yet. You must've been some serious hours in n*itsuh. (why aren't we allowed the 'i' in yr name, btw?)

davidh(owie), Tuesday, 9 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-two years ago)

Hahaha David I had friends working on it as well. I'm not personally so fantastic at it. And you can use the I, if you really want it: I just sort of switched off of the real-name after some bad googling incidents. (NB: "Mister Freako-Politico" sounds like a Red Hot Chili Peppers song or something -- don't call me that, it makes me sweat.)

nabisco%%, Tuesday, 9 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-two years ago)

Mr. Game and Watch is FAB, too, and he even has his own LED-style arena. Nobody understands what his moves actually are: one of them looks like he's sticking a bicycle pump in your belly and harmfully inflating you.
