Because Bert would win it so easy?

Tom D (Tom D.), Thursday, 18 February 2010 15:28 (fifteen years ago)

He died when he fell from a window on the fifth floor of the Bulovka hospital in Prague where he was apparently trying to feed pigeons.

<3 bohumil hrabal, but acording to wikipedia he was born in march, and died in february.

Joint Custody (ian), Thursday, 18 February 2010 17:53 (fifteen years ago)

However much I am drawn to James Joyce, I hardly think his personality merits the adjective "coolest". Similarly, DFW seemed to be a bit too OCD to be "coolest". So, I voted W.E.B. DuBois.

Aimless, Thursday, 18 February 2010 18:59 (fifteen years ago)

Douglass

Qui vous promet des lendemains qui chantent? (Michael White), Thursday, 18 February 2010 19:22 (fifteen years ago)

I can't decide between the decidedly cool Joyce and Breton.

God Damn the Sun (Noodle Vague), Thursday, 18 February 2010 19:26 (fifteen years ago)

i want to say joyce, but my heart belongs to dfw, because i was born in the late 20th-century.

gonna vote bob marley, though, just because.

clay/tone nut/mother (doo dah), Sunday, 28 February 2010 02:18 (fifteen years ago)

Andre Breton wasn't cool so much as a talented individual who was an immeasurably large asshole.
DFW takes Brecht for the win.
