A Very History Mayne Film Canon

so yeah, this 19-yr-old chinese guy i know wants a list of western movies to watch. he's seen 'forrest gump' and 'legends of the fall' but not much else so far as i can tell. (limited english.)

sooo i was thinking on this and so far have two choices: 'indiana jones and the temple of doom' and 'nick and nora's infinite playlist'. nah jokes, but it did make me think: is the staid old canon actually kind of right?

what should i put on this list?

Any particular era/genre/degree of challopsiness?

Gram P's Titties (Noodle Vague), Monday, 22 February 2010 14:36 (fifteen years ago)

well, i explained that there was a good 95-100 years to choose from, and the existence of genres. i explained about westerns and gangster movies. but i can't think of the one western i'd show. maybe 'my darling clementine'. so no restrictions but... he wants to learn about the west and improve his english.
