And two minutes later, I find out it's all made up

I'm not actually disappointed about this. I think that the low- budget aspect to Dr. Who was an essential part of its charm which can't be recreated. I didn't like the versh with McGann for this reason. However, *this* is exciting.

Mr Davies, executive producer, said: "I've been lucky and honoured to work with David over the past few years - and it's not over yet, the Tenth Doctor still has five spectacular hours left!

"After which, I might drop an anvil on his head. Or maybe a piano. A radioactive piano. But we're planning the most enormous and spectacular ending, so keep watching."

yeah whatever

Several good seasons of Who/Torchwood have not made me think Davies is any less of a tool than I did when I read Damaged Goods.

need still from that edition of Numberwang where Paterson Joseph's character's t-shirt says I AM FROM SPACE

Who didn't see this coming? Anyone?

Davina McCall's knickers (Autumn Almanac), Wednesday, 29 October 2008 22:45 (seventeen years ago)

Surely this fucks up the River Song stuff, unless she's never seen again except in Tenth Doctor spin-off fiction.

chap, Wednesday, 29 October 2008 23:40 (seventeen years ago)

Nah there's loads of ways they can get round that - River Song said she'd never seen the Doctor look so young, she could have seen several regenerations for all we know.

Matt DC, Wednesday, 29 October 2008 23:48 (seventeen years ago)

BUT she didn't know the Doctor had never met her before - and if she'd never seen ten before she'd suss that out. Unless maybe she thought it was a later regeneration to the ones she'd met.

knowing this show Tennant will probably come back

Pfunkboy Formerly Known As... (Herman G. Neuname), Wednesday, 29 October 2008 23:58 (seventeen years ago)

Why was it announced today?

Davina McCall's knickers (Autumn Almanac), Thursday, 30 October 2008 00:33 (seventeen years ago)

To make the BBC more interesting after a week of looking like complete tits?

ailsa, Thursday, 30 October 2008 00:40 (seventeen years ago)

Only a week? Good point nevertheless.
