My HS is not big enough or known enough to have a wikipedia entry, but here's some stuff from the school's website:
Ann Cook Whitman, Class of 1925, . . . became the confidential secretary to Dwight D. Eisenhower from 1952 to 1962, working during his campaign and during his two terms as president of the United States. Later, she served as confidential secretary and executive assistant to New York Governor Nelson Rockefeller. When Rockefeller became vice-president under President Gerald Ford in 1974, Ann became his Chief of Staff, the first woman to hold that position. She later handled Rockefeller’s personal affairs in New York before retiring in 1977.
Dr. Rebecca Moroose, Class of 1971Rebecca is the medical director to the Florida Hospital Cancer Institute at the Walt Disney Memorial Cancer Center in Orlando. She is a board-certified doctor of internal medicine, hematology and oncology.
Marvin Bihn, Class of 1954He was assigned to the Pentagon from 1978 to 1980 where he was responsible for making all assignments of enlisted personnel in the U.S. Army Artillery and the U.S. Army Air Defense Branches.
Oh, and Tammy Pescatelli, comedienne, former "Last Comic Standing" contestant and frequent guest on "The Tonight Show." She and I graduated in the same class. Only 120 in our graduating class, so I knew/know her pretty well.

Can someone explain me why privately funded schools in the UK are called "public schools"? I was a bit confused when I first read Grant Morrison's The Invisibles, and in it someone was called a "public school wanker", with the connotation that this person is of the posh bourgeoise type, except that I didn't get it at first because I assumed a public school is a goverment funded one where everyone except the rich go to.

The only famous person who went to my high school is Dame Darcy, comics artist.I went through the old high school newspapers & looked at the political cartoons she did for it in the '80s – they're all drawn in a kind of Bloom County style & featured people freaking out about nuclear power.
