I am going away for the weekend, so would it be a crime to leave a bottle of wine with wine still in it tonight?

Just talk about bouze, basically.

I mean, most threads get on to the subject eventually :)

Has the bottle been opened? It should last the weekend if you've only just opened it. On the other hand, why just leave it there on its lonesome all weekend? Drink up!

take it to the airport wif yourself. calm your nerves pre-flight.

Hmm, depends, what wine is it?

Matt, Thursday, 4 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Pour the wine into an ice cube tray, and place in the freezer to make wine ice cubes which will be handy and refreshing on hot summer days when you fancy a quick drink at short notice.

CJ - that has to be the most uncouth posting I've ever read.

wine doesn't tend to freeze all that well, you end up with watery sludge that's rather unpleasant.

wine slush puppies, then

C J, Friday, 5 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

There is a pub in Oxford called the Temple Bar which used to have an alcoholic slush machine on the bar. I never tried any and presumably it didn't prove popular, as it was taken away after three weeks.

MarkH, Friday, 5 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

of course you should drink the wine mr. c, do you really have to ask? ;) but bouze, ugh, i am hungover from drinking CIDER! having developed a taste for the ahem good stuff at glasto, foolishly decided that drinking strongbow would be vaguely OK. was wrong. head bad. bouze wool descending...

Oh yuck, bizarre cocktails were being dispensed last night. I think it was vodka, cranberry, advocat and champagne. I drank four in two hours and wondered why I was plastered by half eight.

Anna, Friday, 5 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I had alchoholic slush puppies, and they were good, a bit like normal slush puppies but they made me drunk!!

davel, Friday, 5 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

You should give the booze to your local neighbourhood wino and give up the demon drink for it is the root of all evil. I myself have recently given up drinking in a cheggers stylee and feel a whole world better for it.

Drink. It is a mug's game. Except for, like, water. Cos that's alright.

dr daif, Friday, 5 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I was at a friends house the other day and they started making up cocktails, they made one that was baileys and creme de menthe, which tasted like mint choc chip ice cream, yum!!!

davel, Friday, 5 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I didn't get drunk last friday night and it was very odd geting up on Saturday morning without a hangover, it made a nice change but I wouldn't want to do it every week.

davel, Friday, 5 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

HA "dr" "daif" given up drink as recently as OOH LAST WEDNESDAY HAVE WE? :):)

katie, Friday, 5 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Drugs are ok tho', right?

Andrew L, Friday, 5 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Alchoholic slush puppies get the thumbs up from Prestonian yoofs as there has been one behind the bar at the Adelphi for blooming ages AFAIK. It's probably still there and will always be there. There was a slush puppy machine @ the ice rink I used to go to, mmmm, dredged up mucky ice drink...

Sarah, Friday, 5 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm going to go out tonight and the likelyhood is that I will get drunk and start ordering various cocktail based thinks, I normally go for either a slippy nipple or a buby Guiness anyone got any other ideas.

davel, Friday, 5 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I've heard that Sex on the Beach is nice. Apparently.

C J, Friday, 5 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)
