Motivational advices fron LL Cool J

Since I've friended him on Facebook, I've received these pearls of wisdom:

Because you failed before, doesn't mean you won't succeed now.

Never look down on anybody unless you're helping them up.

A person who does things that count doesn't usually stop to count them.

The best way to knock the chip off your neighbor's shoulder is to pat him on the back.

Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy.

You must remain focused on your journey to greatness.

Defeat doesn't finish a person, quit does. A person is not finished when they're defeated. They're finished when they quit doing what they should have kept doing.

Persistent people begin their success where others end in failure.

I am not saying that any of this is bad advice, mind you. I just didn't expect it from L Chill.

My wife and I attended Doctor Smith for our OB/GYN. He was very attentive, but I was taken aback to be advised that "By the middle of March, when the pregnancy starts in your lady's placenta, that means L just entered."

I think he means that is you're helping them up, it's not metaphorical anymore.

What if you're underneath them pushing them up? Like when you help someone over a wall by letting them stand on your shoulders?

xp As do many people who are already successful, and like to give the kind of advice that people not in his position will find useless or less.
