I have a distant cousin who went crazy and born again a few years ago and reconnected with on facebook. From time to time she posts these rabid insane youtube videos, always screaming "WAKE UP PEOPLE!!! THIS IS HAPPENING!!! WAKE UP!!!" I think I managed about 30 seconds of one of them, but I have a feeling they're related to this crap.

I heard a story about this on NPR as I was driving back to Chicago from Iowa. On the way to Iowa I lamented the lack of prominent cults and poof! Here we go.

i read "blood and politics" by leonard zeskind which was half about these kinds of people but i don't remember this specific group mentioned

i have a facebook friend from high school who seems borderline about to join one of these groups. he has that perfect combination of ignorance, former military experience, hatred of the government, failure to control his big mouth, and inability to write a sentence without making at least 2 hilarious spelling mistakes. he's actually pretty offensive in general (complained about MLK day?) but i am keeping him around so that i know if he goes totally batshit.
