My friend has a copy of the white album which isn't numbered, apparantly this is because it is a test pressing, and it is worth about a zillion pounds, doen anyone else have any rare/valuable records

I used to have a signed copy of recurring by Spaceman three but it got stolen, I have since bought another copy, but it is not the same, I expect that the signed one may have been worth anything up to five pounds (perhaps more if there was some kind of bidding war)

I have a signed copy of a Man or Astro-man? record, it's robably not worth that much money but anyway...

I don't know how rare/valuble it is, but I have an original mono copy of The Astrud Gilberto Album, which is one of my favourite albums EVAH. Just thought I'd share that wit ya.

My vinyl collection is worth a fortune, judging by the prices they charge upstairs at the Record & Tape Exchange these days. My CD collection's probably worth about threepence ha'penny tho'.

Are those funny one-sided records worth anything?

I have a ton of rare vinyl.

BUT; I bought some silly art book in NYC during high school, and a couple years ago found it on eBay going for $800--$1000!!! I thought about selling it but I kind of like it. Then they reissued the book and it's worth less.

I cleared all my vinyl out to but wiard synthesiser some little while ago, but I did keep a few picks - "Glastonbury Fayre" triple, as mentioned on the thread at ILM, "Black Box" by peter Hammil, private pressing on "S-type" records, and "Inside Out" by Edgar Broughton Band - not a very good rekkid, but an ACE sleeve! I probably have a few rare singles somewhere. I do have this Japanese Depeche Mode CD box set called "X2", which is supposedly worth shitloads, not that anyone offered me anything for it or anything. (glum)

About two years before the Beatles CDs officially came out, a Japanese pressing plant was under the impression that they had the permission to produce them. They didn't -- the Beatles + Yoko sued. But not before the plant pressed a quantity of Abbey Road CDs, one of which I bought for $30.00. Later they were going for $100.00; I have no idea what they're worth now.

I also have some near-mint Beatle Original Master Recordings, which were these fancy-schmancy audiophile records probably worth something somewhere.

I possibly have some vaguely rare CDs, but only in the $40-$50 sense of "rare." The closest any of my records come to "rare" is Paisley Shirts and Mini-Skirts by the Television Personalities, which is to say "not rare at all." But I do have back at home somewhere a super-rare Sun Ra Saturn record that's supposedly worth $800 or so: some evidently very-hip friend gave it to my dad back in the 70s.

guys, i just got the Yorkshire Records Folk Box for $3. everything in perfect condition. it is fucking great, and doesn't even have a discogs entry! seems like it is worth some money-- it is like somehow old blues and folk records worth some amount of money just come to me. i have lots of rare muddy waters vinyl, too, that i got for almost nothing in eastern europe.
