where do polls go?

were polls banned from ILE? i created two polls in the last 12 hours and they both disappeared into the ether. when i click the "create poll" button, i'm simply brought back to the ILE new answers page -- where, needless to say, the polls don't appear. so what gives?

I see your polls - do you have 'show polls' checked in your prefs?

i agree. i suppose i'd never started one before, so i thought i'd give it a try (actually, i have an ulterior motive in starting the one i did, which will be revealed later). but in general i don't like polls clogging up the board.
