Given the option, TV movie about Plano teenagers ODing on heroin would win.

Hard choice between Jackass and Blades of Glory, went for BoG because the heterosexual male-male romance was sweeter in it.

Jackass Number Two (2006)

I've never had more fun watching a film in a packed theater with people as enthusiastic about what we were seeing as I was.

I do love Pootie Tang too, though.

Johnny Fever, Friday, 9 April 2010 22:14 (fifteen years ago)

― HOT DISH THYME MACHINE (jjjusten), Saturday, April 10, 2010 2:31 AM (43 minutes ago)

Yeah, this was revealed a couple months ago. The first bit that's been talked about is one in which Pontius ties an r/c helicopter to his penis while someone else is flying it around the room.

Johnny Fever, Friday, 9 April 2010 22:16 (fifteen years ago)

Jackass Number Two > Jackass: The Movie > any of the rest of this crap.

theres some sweet action here but competition is none^

~cankles~ (ice cr?m), Friday, 9 April 2010 22:44 (fifteen years ago)

of the ones I've seen, Election rules supreme, clever, and funny.

Joe's Apartment is good stupid fun, but well it IS really stupid.

Varsity Blues was fun in a "wtf no way are these high school kids" kinda way, but hey, football.

Orange County sucked big nuts. Kings of Comedy was great

Phoenix in Flight (Cattle Grind), Friday, 9 April 2010 22:50 (fifteen years ago)

oh and I do love the jackass movies

Phoenix in Flight (Cattle Grind), Friday, 9 April 2010 22:51 (fifteen years ago)

oh and duh, Beavis and Butthead. i saw that the day it came out...loved it

Phoenix in Flight (Cattle Grind), Friday, 9 April 2010 22:51 (fifteen years ago)

Election, Jackasses, Beavis & Butthead all golden imo. Pootie Tang = honorable mention. i was lukewarm on the others i've seen (Blades, Napoleon, Hustle & Flow), don't recall seeing any more (maybe 200 Cigs?)

Hard choice between Jackass and Blades of Glory, went for BoG because the heterosexual male-male romance was sweeter in it.

Went for Jackass: Number Two because the homosexual male-male sex was hotter in it.

blades of glory > step brothers

J0rdan S., Saturday, 10 April 2010 04:33 (fifteen years ago)

Election in a walk, but Original Kings of Comedy was damn fucking funny when I saw it in the theater. Kinda lost something on the small screen without a theater full of people losing their shit, but that's probably true of any stand-up movie.

Doctor Casino, Saturday, 10 April 2010 04:46 (fifteen years ago)

yea the theatre went nuts when Steve Harvey did his "you ever been to a rap concert bit". I still love it, mostly cuz the week before I saw that movie, I saw Goodie Mob live on the Apollo on television and it was exactly like that - 6 people with mics shouting, all unintelligible!

Election vs The Wood vs The Original Kings of Comedy for me. that martin lawrence stand-up movie is execrable.

Election (1999) 22
Jackass Number Two (2006) 9
Pootie Tang (2001) 7
Jackass: The Movie (2002) 3
Napoleon Dynamite (2004) 3
Murderball (2005) 2

Good collection. I'd sit down and watch all these (minus one) over a weekend.

Johnny Fever, Wednesday, 14 April 2010 23:56 (fifteen years ago)

Missed this, but would have voted for Freedom Writers, which might be the best of its genre (admittedly not saying much), and not quite the teacher-savior story you remember. I loved Election the first time, but its cynicism grates. Save the Last Dance is another cut-above teen movie. Coach Carter is more by-the-numbers, The Longest Yard is garbage. Hustle & Flow just seems like a fraud to me, and a rationalization of pimping. Pootie Tang was okay--it's no The Ladies Man--but I love The Original Kings of Comedy and Blades of Glory, and have nothing against Beavis and Butt-head Do America and what I've seen of the Jackass movies.
