Capcom Logo: Does the 'A','P','C', and 'O' being filled in bother anyone else?

I figure there must be some kind of design reason those letters are filled in, but the initial 'C' not also being filled in makes it look like a mistake to me.
Also, what do you call it when a logo is like that?

I do have a problem with the 'r' being silent in the pronunciation of Capcomr: you just say "capcom"

The unenclosed spaces of 'C' and the bottom of 'A' irk me, while the enclosed spaces of 'O', 'P', and the top of 'A' do not.

I assume this is a leftover from the days when they actually used physical stencils? i.e. The reason the first C isn't filled in is because there's a space available between it and the A for the jigsaw (or whatever) to cut in.

I just noticed that the two upward pointing ^ bits of the M are way more filled in than the middle downward pointing V on top of that very same M and please to redo poll so I can register my sudden outrage at this monstrosity thx.

Back in the days of typewriters, the little pits and divots of the typeface in letters like 'A' or 'o' would accumulate dirt and ink from the ribbon, until they were entirely filled in. The solution was to save a used-up toothbrush and use it to scrub the type.
