Latham Green, Friday, 7 May 2010 15:36 (fifteen years ago)

And furthermore why do I love them?

Battle Groin (╓abies), Friday, 7 May 2010 15:39 (fifteen years ago)

They contain jellified pig sperm. (both xpost and not)

StanM, Friday, 7 May 2010 15:41 (fifteen years ago)

They are made of gelatine (ground down horse parts).

leave it to the human to make use even of the hoof as a merry treat! I imagine this adds luster to the hair

Latham Green, Friday, 7 May 2010 15:47 (fifteen years ago)

Oh, this day, you can have anything you want to eat. Even...some
sort of gelatin dish. It's made from hooves, you know.

I never thought a hoof could be so sweet cute and fruity.

Latham Green, Friday, 7 May 2010 15:54 (fifteen years ago)

the realest of talk:

Haribo makes the most quality gummi on the market, hands down, they are so far clear of every other major gummi manufacturer stfu if you don't agree.

the Rob Based god (M@tt He1ges0n), Friday, 7 May 2010 17:08 (fifteen years ago)

agreed. haribo also has an excellent wide array of shapes & flavors for me to choose from. i like the fruit salad. espesh the grapefruit slices.

ian, Friday, 7 May 2010 17:10 (fifteen years ago)

they have a better texture...black forest sold out TRV KVLT gummi to me, most of the generics and also black forest have gone for a softer texture....haribo is the perfect balance between hard and soft, the real original gummi texture

also all the sour gummi stuff has gotten out of hand.

the Rob Based god (M@tt He1ges0n), Friday, 7 May 2010 17:13 (fifteen years ago)

surprisingly into 'fizzy cola' tbh.

ian, Friday, 7 May 2010 17:22 (fifteen years ago)

I'm pretty much into most gummy snacks. I like the sour gummy worms quite a lot.

Moodles, Friday, 7 May 2010 17:35 (fifteen years ago)

are there any like hi-class "boutique" gummmi brands on the market??

the Rob Based god (M@tt He1ges0n), Friday, 7 May 2010 21:41 (fifteen years ago)

Search: Kasugai gummies at yr larger Asian markets, esp. muscat and lychee. Really really good.

Grisly Addams (WmC), Friday, 7 May 2010 23:07 (fifteen years ago)

kasugai gummies ARE really good it's true. i like the peach(?) kind iirc. and the lychee. and the muscat.

ian, Friday, 7 May 2010 23:12 (fifteen years ago)

fuck i am gonna go get some gummi.

ian, Friday, 7 May 2010 23:12 (fifteen years ago)

the best thing about Kasugai is the package

damn this thread. there's a convenience store on my condo property, and now you're tempting me to walk over there and buy a huge bag of gummis.

I made a great "gummi salad" for my birthday (worms & bears in a big bowl)...I was the only one who ate them! Mr Veg suggested that was bc no-one else is 5 years old. ;_;

Seems to me a lot of gummies use corn starch as a thickener, not gelatin. Not an expert, though.

Aimless, Sunday, 9 May 2010 02:39 (fifteen years ago)

...But the essential ingredient is the crack. That's what makes you eat the whole bag

^^^so i tried this over the weekend with gummi bears and swedish fish. swedes absorb much faster and took on a totally disgusting mush texture after a day. by day 3 or so the gummi vodka became syrupy and difficult to separate from the bears, so i split it up between a few wine glasses and stuck them in the freezer for a bit. it congealed into gummi vodka jello! pretty good, but kinda disappointing once i realized i spent 3 days to essentially make jello shots :/

what a perfectly sad waste of gummy candy
