ROXY was ROBBED! :(

Emily might not love me broadcasting this, but I want to do whatever I can.

While she was off having her well-deserved adventure to visit various pilgrim landmarks up north, her apartment back home in Knoxville was being ransacked & robbed. They took her stereo and television. They took her fucking bass guitar. Basically, they took everything of immediate value out of her apartment.

She is in amazing spirits and has an "it was just stuff" sort of attitude. She is thankful to have had a great trip and happy to know her cat, Bernard (aka the gooniest) is safe. I would be freaking out far more than she is and I admire her strength.

She is on her way home (a fifteen hour drive through the night) to pick up the pieces of this mess and will be moving in with me in a sort of rushed get-me-the-hell-out-of-here kind of way. Replacing everything will be costly.

I love my sister and I want to get her a bass guitar because was her livelihood, tbh.

not to be debbie downer but is this perhaps one of those instances when broadcasting you are going to be out of town via facebook is a bad idea. i don't know roxy's privacy settings but maybe look into that? (not that robbery didn't exist before obv. as i can sadly testify)

you are like the tenth person who has said that. i don't think that is the case here. i think it might be a neighbor - she had previous issues with strangers on her porch and such.

weirdly the only thing i've been missing is the CRAP cd player that i needed to replace anyway. i have had the same one since age 15 and always lean over to turn on talk radio when i go to sleep -- i have mimed this every night since the robbery! haw

they also were too dumb to steal my pedals, which is nice :)
