Question about insurance company strong-arming tactics

I was involved in a car accident earlier this year: on the freeway, the traffic stopped suddenly, I jammed the breaks and so did the car immediately behind me. But a third car behind car #2 hit car #2, car 2 in turn hit me, giving me a lingering case of whiplash/neck pain, which I've been getting physical therapy on. I had a month's worth of PT initially, then the pain recurred, so I've started on another month of PT. Car 3's insurance co. gave me a take-it-or-leave-it offer: on top of a "pain and suffering" sum, they're only willing to pay for the first month of PT and no more, saying that being a young (ha), healthy (HAHAH) person, they'd normally not pay anything at all. Are they bullying me into accepting their offer and getting themselves off the hook for any future injury treatment?

sounds like bullshit to me.

i don't know much about this, but i'd think yes, they're trying to strongarm you.

Right, so I should ignore their first offer, and when I'm done with my latest PT, I should just send them the bills for everything (doctor's visits, x-ray, PT) and they're obligated to cover it all, right?

how much of a gap was there between PT sessions? there are often guidelines where if a certain amount of time elapses between treatments you can be legally boned. might want to check w/a lawyer on the specifics here.

A week or two, I'd have to check exactly, but definitely less than a month.

yeah then that shouldn't be a problem.
