glad some ppl in the comments agree that tricking readers isn't cool

TechCrunch is pretty much obnoxious bullshit, though. Their last.fm-baiting and that whole CrunchPad fiasco proved that.

I like ArsTechnica, in that I occasionally read an article or two, but they're mostly the longer technical ones. Engadget and Gizmodo seem to be in a race to the bottom in their field, but that might have been won with this iPhone shit.

Not a patch on the 'technology column' Andy Ihnatko writes for the Chicago Sun-Times in the guise of an iPhone/iPad blog. Although, to be fair, he did write about Hulu this week, but only because it's on the iPhone/iPad.

I don't really read his written work, but I think he's pretty funny and he says smart things on Macbreak Weekly.

Last year when she left Hunch it was an extremely sordid situation. Because of some very chatty people close to the company I had all the details about her leaving, and why.

Really dislike the habit for writers to introduce quotes with the phrase "reached out", as in "Looking for comment on the (new product), I reached out to (press officer) at (company)".

Just use "emailed", I won't think less of you because a phone wasn't involved.
