correcting myself again, and i'm not even drunk, i think the limón de pica is just similar to key lime and actually a different variety. can't remember the english name though.

lime + or in certain foods seems to add more than lemon, but it seems ridiculous to vote for it when I consumer 10x as much lemon

Lemon is a workhorse, while lime is more of a dilletante. Lemons get no respect.

it's easy to overdo lemon on/with other foods. lime seemingly has no bounds.

lime's nice but lemon's more versatile. lime will win on challops grounds, nobody who spends much time in a kitchen can argue with any seriousness that lime is nearly as useful as lemon (much less that the contexts in which you can use lime are somehow greater than the numberless places where a little lemon makes a world of difference)

btw, pro tip: get a glass, put 3-4 slices of lemon at the bottom, fill with ice & sprite. use spoon to crush the lemon slices. better than lemonade, honest

no joek Rock it was really good. my gf did it on a whim and we were both impressed. thinking about doing it again tonight.

now, our TYPICAL method for cooking collards is just to "quick boil" them, i.e., bring water to a rolling boil, drop in the greens and let them go for 4-6 minutes, take them out when they hit the sweet (literally) spot between bitter and bland. so if you're cooking em w/ ham hocks, the tea may not turn out so hot...

i like lemons a lot but limes are magical

I prefer limes overall but have discovered that a batch of tuna salad is improved 1000% with zest + juice of a lemon. Lime would be wrong in that one.
