england. i wouldn't hate england if i didn't live in the united kingdom. but having the world cup mania -commentators and all- of another country thrust upon you is sure to make the piss-boil. i applaud england's elimination. i sometimes jump up and down and cheer and get a bit misty-eyed. i would care very little either way if it wasn't for the media and would probably vote Germany.

Freakish is dead right - it was something like worst team in pot 1 (Greece), worst in pot 2 (Israel), Switzerland from pot 3, worst team from pot 4 (Latvia) and Luxembourg (who Switzerland promptly lost to). Basically, no tournament is going to be enhanced by the presence of either of those boring bastards.
