Sorry, awful spelling and formatting in the title!

rhythm fixated member (chap), Thursday, 10 June 2010 22:46 (fifteen years ago)

Last HOLY SHIT moment is always the best so crash, bang, run for me.

Fig On A Plate Cart (Alex in SF), Thursday, 10 June 2010 22:52 (fifteen years ago)

Badger's arrest is such a great little scene.

Simon H., Thursday, 10 June 2010 22:54 (fifteen years ago)

Gotta go w/ Hank and the cousins. I was so on-edge for the whole sequence as soon as he answers his phone.

Simon H., Thursday, 10 June 2010 22:57 (fifteen years ago)

ATM Machine Homicide was pretty great.

Fig On A Plate Cart (Alex in SF), Thursday, 10 June 2010 22:58 (fifteen years ago)

I'm voting for Jane. Just brutal, devastating and game-changing.

rhythm fixated member (chap), Thursday, 10 June 2010 22:59 (fifteen years ago)

Automatic thread bump. This poll is closing tomorrow.

System, Thursday, 10 June 2010 23:01 (fifteen years ago)

Bah, meant this to close two days later as well. Poor job all round, sorry.

rhythm fixated member (chap), Thursday, 10 June 2010 23:02 (fifteen years ago)

u forgot "walt shaves his head & blows up Tuco's joint w/ fulminated mercury"

I'll still prob vote for the cousins, but this is still one of my favorite scenes.

5 x 15-second shits, max fart (Pillbox), Thursday, 10 June 2010 23:04 (fifteen years ago)

this is an impossible poll

Nhex, Friday, 11 June 2010 01:22 (fifteen years ago)

hank at the salvage yard on the other side of the RV wall from walt & jesse peeling the tape off those bulletholes was a pretty holy shit moment for me, but i had to go with my gut and vote roof pizza in '10

del griffith, Friday, 11 June 2010 01:25 (fifteen years ago)

hank at the salvage yard on the other side of the RV wall from walt & jesse peeling the tape off those bulletholes

Shit, forgot about that. I was trembling with excitement and dread.

rhythm fixated member (chap), Friday, 11 June 2010 01:29 (fifteen years ago)

May do a redux poll after the finale.

rhythm fixated member (chap), Friday, 11 June 2010 01:30 (fifteen years ago)

shyeeeah that was top 5 for sure

Simon H., Friday, 11 June 2010 01:35 (fifteen years ago)

I can't read the phrase "MAD SPOILERS, YO" w/out imagining it in Jesse's voice (which was probably the intent, duh.)

Going with "ceiling caves in" for old time's sake

Myonga Vön Bontee, Friday, 11 June 2010 21:48 (fifteen years ago)

this is an impossible poll

otm. jane. run. the twins. too hard.

EVALUATION COPY (cozen), Friday, 11 June 2010 22:07 (fifteen years ago)

I went for RUN but probably because it just happened and I am pretty sure I literally said, "HOLY SHIT!" AMT homicide is definitely a contender, although that was less "HOLY SHIT" and more "omg no he's not going to is he oh fuck yes he is" *hides eyes/leaves room*.

sinister chemical wisdom (Jenny), Friday, 11 June 2010 22:34 (fifteen years ago)

Ha ATM not AMT but you probably knew that.

sinister chemical wisdom (Jenny), Friday, 11 June 2010 22:34 (fifteen years ago)

I'm going with Bike lock. It's so close between all of these, but that set the stage early about what Walt is capable of doing.

Jeff, Friday, 11 June 2010 22:57 (fifteen years ago)

Automatic thread bump. This poll's results are now in.

System, Friday, 11 June 2010 23:01 (fifteen years ago)

Am I missing something on the list, or was not Tortuga's ("Turtle") head on the turtle in the desert not a major holy shit moment for anyone else? That whole episode was fantastic.

__CB__, Saturday, 12 June 2010 14:34 (fifteen years ago)

great idea! missed voting but prob would've gone w/ jane. guessing we'll have another frontrunner or two after tomorrow...

Hank killing the cousins was the best action scene I've ever seen on TV. It was the most mindblowingly awesome scene for sure, so I guess I would have voted for it (I was two weeks behind until tonight so I stayed away from the spoilers, yo.)

The greatest scene in the history of the show is the pizza tossing scene, imo. "I got dipping sticks."

Matt Armstrong, Monday, 14 June 2010 09:02 (fifteen years ago)

Any point me redoing this in light of the finale and some omissions?

rhythm fixated member (chap), Monday, 14 June 2010 17:13 (fifteen years ago)

I think so - not so much for any omissions/additions as for the allowance of a little more breathing room in terms of polling time.

bold storks (Pillbox), Monday, 14 June 2010 18:19 (fifteen years ago)

one month passes...

I agree with the consensus though Walt blowing up Tuco's HQ was totally o_0. Definitely did NOT see that coming!

this hit me harder than anything

iatee, Thursday, 22 July 2010 03:27 (fourteen years ago)

Oh yeah!

My goodness, this show

European Bob (admrl), Thursday, 22 July 2010 03:29 (fourteen years ago)

I still think the bike locking was the best oh shit moment.

Jeff, Thursday, 22 July 2010 04:02 (fourteen years ago)

eight months pass...

I just finished season 3
When does the next one start with more holy shit? Because THIS SHOW.

I am suddenly wondering if my teen dance club (so many memories!) was a money laundering business.

Ralpharina (La Lechera), Friday, 1 April 2011 04:10 (fourteen years ago)

Summer,I think?

Jeff, Friday, 1 April 2011 04:27 (fourteen years ago)

We don't know yet. DVD is out June 7th, so within a month of that is a good bet.

Jouster, Friday, 1 April 2011 04:30 (fourteen years ago)

i think the amc 2011 schedule got kinda fucked up cuz of mad men but yeah june i think? whenever the killing ends

ban lex pretend (Lamp), Friday, 1 April 2011 04:31 (fourteen years ago)

A month before the DVD comes out, probably. Just to make sure no one can catch up, like last season. Still bitter!

GLOWER METAL (GOTT PUNCH II HAWKWINDZ), Friday, 1 April 2011 05:13 (fourteen years ago)

But I figured out you could download stuff on the internet? So it's all good.

GLOWER METAL (GOTT PUNCH II HAWKWINDZ), Friday, 1 April 2011 05:13 (fourteen years ago)

....? S4 starts on TV a month before S4 comes out on DVD?

Neo Tony (sic), Friday, 1 April 2011 05:50 (fourteen years ago)

S3 DVD non?

sailor moon frye (electricsound), Friday, 1 April 2011 05:50 (fourteen years ago)

S3 has been out since December tho

Neo Tony (sic), Friday, 1 April 2011 05:54 (fourteen years ago)

well, it has here - would be amazing if it wasn't out earlier, or at all, in the US

Neo Tony (sic), Friday, 1 April 2011 05:54 (fourteen years ago)

What I'm saying was Season 2 DVD came out after Season 3 started. And I needed to catch up because I had missed most of S2. Kinda sucked.

GLOWER METAL (GOTT PUNCH II HAWKWINDZ), Friday, 1 April 2011 07:03 (fourteen years ago)

Man, I just said the DVd is out June 7th here in America. The show isn't going to start again before that. Most sources say July.

Jouster, Friday, 1 April 2011 08:05 (fourteen years ago)

I just said the DVd

That was apparently the problem.

Neo Tony (sic), Friday, 1 April 2011 08:41 (fourteen years ago)

i also just finished s.3 -- i think i wouldve voted Jesse's ceiling caves in obvs that whole storyline was wild & holyshit

johnny crunch, Friday, 1 April 2011 12:16 (fourteen years ago)

bah, i wanna talking breaking bad but i'm only halfway through S2 and the other thread's full of S5 stuff..

He's just been diagnosed with "remission" and been doing some DIY and the show's kind of lulled a little since the days of throwing explosives at Tucco and shooting him in the head, but it feels like it's going to come back with a vengeance - Cranston just caught someone shopping for cook stuff in the hardware store and told them to GTFO.

Storm coming man.

The atmosphere's ever so close!

Loved that last shot of Walt punching his reflection at the end of the "remission" episode, and next week his hand's all bloody. It totally sums up this kind of thing you get when you prepare for the absolute worst, are convinced that it will happen and then doesn't. And even though you've felt worried, depressed, upset, there's also a sense of anticlimax - like you've geared yourself up for this terrible situation that doesn't come.

j/k: RUN 4 lif

dog latin, you may want to just start another thread if you don't want spoilers

(trying to find a spoiler-free zone in a thread about breaking bad's most cuhhhhhh-razy moments is kind of insane to me tbh)

four months pass...

Just finished season 4 last night. We've watched all of this from the first episode of season one since about a week before Christmas, and the HOLY SHIT moments come so thick and fast that I can't actually remember them all - I don't even remember the bike lock one.

Two-Face Zombie Gus leaving Hector's room after the explosion is right up there, and Crash. Bang. 'Run' is awesome too, and the pizza on the roof was great (though more 'wtf' than HOLY SHIT), but I think Jane has to win. It was cold, man. Although, saying that, the lily of the valley reveal was pretty brutal too.

i would never inflict the process of making a sandwich on myself (Scik Mouthy), Tuesday, 22 January 2013 12:05 (twelve years ago)

I've seen it all, but I don't know what "Crash Bang Run" or "Jane" are referring to necessarily?

besides Sunny Real Estate (dog latin), Tuesday, 22 January 2013 12:17 (twelve years ago)

really?

Number None, Tuesday, 22 January 2013 12:19 (twelve years ago)

Crash Bang Run is when Walt runs over the dealer's who killed Jesse's girlfriend's brother before Jesse can kill them / they can kill Jesse.

Jane is... well, when Walt lets her die in her sleep when she vomits in bed next to Jesse.

i would never inflict the process of making a sandwich on myself (Scik Mouthy), Tuesday, 22 January 2013 12:20 (twelve years ago)

Remove apostrophes as appropriate.

If you don't know what 'Jane' refers to you can't have been paying much attention, it was one of the pivotal moments in S2.

Jesse and Gale is probably my favourite HOLY SHIT moment, although the Mexican drug cartel is another great one.

Matt DC, Tuesday, 22 January 2013 12:21 (twelve years ago)

Ah yeah, cool cheers - shoulda known these. There are a lot of crashes and bangs and running in BB, and I watched the whole lot within a matter of a month, and as Mouthy said there are so many moments, it's not always easy to separate them all.

My favourite holy shit moment was when Walt confesses/confronts Tucco after being kidnapped and it's sort of the first time you see his bad-ass side come out.

Best HOLY SHIT moment out of many is at the end of the train heist.

oh yeah, i loved that episode
