Shit my dad says

Remember the Twitter feed Shit My Dad Says? Guy who posts the awesome things his dad says, like “You seen my cell phone?...What’s it look like? Like two horses fucking. It’s a phone, son. It looks like a phone."

If you go to mydadsays.net you can win signed copies. It’s the first book generated entirely by Twitter, so even if you don't like it, you could probably sell a signed copy for a pile on eBay.

display-name aesthete (snoball), Friday, 18 June 2010 13:12 (fifteen years ago)

Also it seems weird to say it the first book generated by Twitter when it's a book of quotes orally generated by one person, which were then just retyped on Twitter. i.e. it's not like original content created specifically for Twitter, it's just someone saying shit out loud, which someone else is then retyping in Twitter. If that makes sense. The content would have existed in some form, however ephemeral, even if Twitter did not exist.

i bought this book, the day it came out. unsigned! what was i thinking.

its not "entirely generated by twitter" either, its more like justin halperns memoirs. a books worth of his dads jibes, as seen on twitter, would have been fine by me.
