I'm at work and missing NK match so England blather is all I got. Feeling quite ashamed now as I'm one of those people moaning about constant England coverage during matches that don't involve them.

It's funny how the story today is how Capello cancelled Terry's meeting, because today's Daily Record is reporting on what happened at it. 'Captain John Terry led the team at clear-the-air talks' apparently, at which 'furious stars lashed out' at the boss.

Hm, it can't have been 'captain Terry' now I think about it - but at least I can take comfort that my quoting is *still* more accurate than the Record's

Yeah I'm 50/50 on relative merits, but wasn't Capello going to be the England manager that picked players on form?

Because if so, Dawson should be starting for england coming into the WC.

The whole "picking on form" was never gonna happen though. I mean Gerrard's been terrible ALL season.

He even got over the Portsmouth slip to have a storming end-of-season, which was impressive.

Yeah picking on form probably isn't advisable to the extent of breaking up first choice partnerships, but now that we're down to 5th choice centre halves there's not much justification for Dawson ahead of Upson
