You guys, I'm an architect!

So I just got a letter in the mail containing the best news I've heard in years and not only is there no one around to call right now, but I have to leave for a 9-hour shift at work in twenty minutes. I'm positively bursting with joy right now and I need to share, so you guys are the lucky ones... especially those of you who've put up with my general moaning in the laid off ilxors threads.

Anyway, just got the final pass result for my Architect Registration Exam, and as soon as I get through the weeks of waiting for the official paperwork I will be an official, legal, architect. I'm really so thrilled right now, I wish I was able to share this feeling with more people.

Huge! Jon's really downplaying how big of an achievement this is - it's a series of seven separate exams (unless he started under the nine-exam system) that are usually taken over a period of a year or years, and that's only after years in qualifying internship hours. Congrats!

My original goal was to get through all seven exams in one calendar year, but it ended up taking 13 months. Still not bad at all.

Some of my best friends are architects, and YES congratulations are in order. Might be my imagination because the British Dip. Arch is also full of HARD TO GET, but the US version seems even more complicated.
