are there still kids where you are who wear those big-ass ICP pants with the zippers and crap hanging off of them?

cuz they do here. well, not everyone, but the pissed-off looking gothy/icp type kids do. and they are, like majorly big and huge. and have lots of zippers and stuff. you would have figured this would have gone away forever at some point, but it lives for some reason.

anyway, they make me feel hot when i see people wearing them and it is a hundred degrees outside.

scott seward, Wednesday, 7 July 2010 16:53 (fourteen years ago)

them or the odd candy raver will waddle by me down the street maybe once a month. i always have the same "you still exist?!" reaction.

The Cursed Return of the Dastardly Thermo Thinwall, Wednesday, 7 July 2010 16:55 (fourteen years ago)

Maryland reporting here: I saw a kid wearing these a few months ago at the mall. I wanted to stalk him, but I was with my family and we were rushing to go see a movie. Otherwise, I haven't seen any in years.

Those are the same ICP pants I saw! Must be what they have at Hot Topic. They were so shiny!

kkvgz, Wednesday, 7 July 2010 18:34 (fourteen years ago)

Hot Topic – yes. I blame them for keeping these things around. It really blows my mind how many kids in the southwest wear these things, given that they are essentially giant black canvas tents covered in heat-conducting metal. The shirt of choice is of Rob Zombie as often as it is of ICP, however.

Mr & Mrs The Devil (Abbott), Wednesday, 7 July 2010 18:41 (fourteen years ago)

I don't understand that. Can you provide a picture?

kkvgz, Wednesday, 7 July 2010 18:45 (fourteen years ago)

like how those ICP pants are designed to never be washed. like, with all the metal and strappings, they'd be annihilated by (or would annihilate) any washing machine you tried to put them through.

Trust is at the heart of the family that Lokki has created for a small group of his friends living on the streets of Denver.

They call themselves "Juggalos" -- the name for fans of the rap group Insane Clown Posse. But now, the name has a more important meaning.

"Juggalos started as a family for people who feel like they don't have family," Lokki explained. "Other people see it as a gang, but we just look out for each other any way we can."

i'm normally a big fan of people appropriating things like cat-in-the-hat hats for their own uses but in this case I don't think there's ever been a non-cat-in-the-hat use for that hat that's been honorable.

Kind of suprised at the "wtf are the furry boots" thing - that was a huge thing in the raver scene for years, you'd see hopped up candy rainbow ravers all over Chapel st wearing that shit back in the day. Like, 10 years ago or more.

Still very occasionally see Giant Bondage Pants dudes, though in Melbourne theyre more likely to be babygoths than Juggalos, I suspect. I could be wrong!

Very occasionally see a sad candyraver as well, wearing very worn out, soggy loooking old dayglo/reflective giant pants that are very obviously 15 years old because you cant actually buy that shit anymore so they've just kept the same pair (eww)
