RFI/ID: That recently trendy low-budget film genre that seems to mostly consist of young white people on sofas

As in what is it called. Short films where twenty/thirty-somethings sit around talking about stuff and attempt to evoke some kind of Raymond Carveresque sense of miniature drama.

There was one at the Woody Allen screening at Brooklyn Bridge park - a really terrible, self-serious piece in which a fat woman cries at the end because a dinner goes badly.

No really guys I swear there was a NYTimes Style Section piece about this maybe a couple of years ago. More and more young people are sitting around with their friends on sofas while also making films about themselves and their friends and lovers while sitting on sofas across from the sofas.
