Because there is alcohol in CREAM, refrigeration breaks apart the alcohol which may cause CREAM to come out runny. Apparently this has become a huge seller at my Dad's liquor stores. Dad has regaled me with numerous hilarious stories of what people say when they buy it. I think it's become his favorite thing to sell bc he finds it so funny.
